no but they're similar in some ways. apple pie spice tends to omit cloves. I suppose you could use the same spice mix for both, but I doubt pumpkin pie will taste quite right with apple pie spice, and your apple pies will taste vaguely reminiscent of pumpkin pies if you use pumpkin pie spice on them.
