Is drinking a ton of water per day actually beneficial or is it just a meme pushed by the bottled water industry to sell more?

I feel worse when I don't drink enough water. I just drink tap though.

>using bottled water

It's just so fat people who drink tons don't feel weird. You don't need a ton of water to be healthy.

Enough of this (((bottled water is a scam))) meme. It's cheap, and it tastes better than tap water because of the mineral additives.

>bottled water
youtu.be/S_EuNmQOpbw

>he doesnt have reverse osmosis alkaline water at home
im sorry.

It tastes like plastic. Bottled water is the worst. It's just filtered tap water that's been setting in a super cheap plastic bottle in the heat of a warehouse for 6 months. Just enough time for the plastic taste to peek.

You're getting high on the flouride.

>not drinking from bpa free bottles

I started drinking water when I quit soda and I drink about 3 to 4 liter a day

what in the rat fuck is a liter?

half a soda bottle you fat fuck

so you drink 1 gallon of water per day, do you carry around a milk jug you faggot?

Most bottles are still made from shit plastic. I would assume that even bpa free bottles would still leach a taste into the water after a while in the heat.

no, he drinks a couple litres a day figured at eight ounces a glass

>falling for the water jew
I seriously hope you fatasses don't do this. Water is empty calories, you're better off drinking Monster Zero Ultra which has 0 sugar, 0 calories and 200% your daily recommended value of four different B-vitamins per serving.

Not the same poster, but I do.

lewrockwell.com/2017/04/murray-n-rothbard/fluoridation-is-dangerous/
Get woke you plebs

That website only say fluoridation is dangerous because of socialism.

>not consuming a tablespoon of borax daily dissolved in water to cleanse your body of fluoride

all you have to do is try it for like a fucking week and you'll see how much better you feel

But this really only applies to people who legitimately don't know they are dehydrated most of the time. I have a friend who drinks like two cups of water a day and she's always tired. She legitimately did not know to just drink more water.

>plz just drink some more water
lol frindzone again, meanwhile chad and tyrone give her a 6 pack of smirnoff ice and a one way ticket to pound town

I just had my first kidney stone. too much processed meats and not enough water.

if you want your kidneys to work and avoid the horrible pain of a kidney stone. you will want to drink a couple liters of water a day.

my city is surrounded by chemical plants and we have the highest autism rate in the state.

Tamarind supposedly works well and is probably safer to consume.

Drinking more water increases the volume of my semen.

S I P B O I S 2 0 1 7

The movie Tapped tells a similar story. I know petrochemicals are known to cause birth defects. Monsanto/bayer is to blame on a corporate scale. Agenda 21 is the game plan for the 1% and fluoride is a known neuro toxin.

The answer to the bottled water bullshit is going to be atmospheric water generators. They will be the next microwaves.

>doesn't contain boron
nah senpai

I have a water filter
I filter... MY TAP WATER!

I saw this a lot on college campus, actually, mostly among athletes. Literally just a mik jug full of water.

Now see THIS convinced me

Your body is mostly water.
It is good for digestion.
Most of the time when you feel hungry, it's actually your body saying you need water.

Buy a water filter if you don't want to buy bottled water.

just drink form the tap you massive fagget.

>tastes better than tap water

Move somewhere that this isn't true then. I live in an area that wins awards every year for the quality of our water.

And fuck you I'm not saying where. We're full.

It's not cheap at all. It's literally 10,000 times the price of tap water.

If your tap water tastes bad then just install a damn filter instead of paying the idiot tax for bottled water over and over again.

>tfw my city doesn't fluoridate the water but the one 2 hours north of us does
dey pineal glands calcified n shieeet

BPA is tasteless. It has nothing to do with the plasticky taste of bottled water.

most of the bottle water is tap water, just form the region next to yours. Jet a one of thous filter jugs and save a ton of money.

Do murricans actually have fluoride in their tap water or is that just a meme?

similar to a gallon but different in size

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluoridation_by_country

I keep jugs of filtered tap water around. I have one in my car, one in my room and at least one in the fridge at any given time.

yeah I buy 70 cent gallon jugs of reverse osmosis water and its better than the tap, i was hungover one morning and I tried guzzling tap water and it made me feel really sick and I puked it up a few times.

Some municipalities do put fluoride in. Where I live, they voted to stop about 6 years ago.

You mean quart. A liter is very close to a quart in volume.

falling for the revers osmosis, lol do you live in the desert or something, if not there is no need for it, its like distilled water, they probably add packets of slats to make it taste better.

A liter is also like a quart but a different size. I meant what I originally said.

I actually live in the desert, I buy the cheapest jugs of water in the grocery store, my tap tastes like chlorine and heavy minerals, i cant drink it.

I got bladder cancer from frequent bladder infections for years. I can't help but feel like I could have avoided it by just drinking more water.

yea that explains it. Normal RO water is not worth it to expensive. But its perfect system for the desert you can convert any water into drinking water.

>This unit of volume is a unit of volume, in the same way that this other, different, unit of volume is also a unit of volume!

Great explanation

well what is a litter is a stupid question, so you got a stupid answer.

A litter is a pile of small cats

DELTE THIS

Fuck, you guys can't even drink water without being complete faggots about it.

You need water to live, you assholes.

Not everyone lives in first world countries Micheal.

plastic bottles are also made in grimy as fuck factories and probably have a zillion particulates on their surfaces before being filled with water.

Yes and our country suffers greatly from the side effects. I actively avoid it now but I used to shower in it every day. I had acne, felt sickly, numb extremities, very aggravated, exhausted, emotionally and mentally depleted, could not remember shit, depressed, then stopped showering in and drinking the tap water. Ever since then I have been fine. I use a hanging camp shower and buy spring water from a local spring instead.

I went back to showering in the tap water after a few months and BOOM straight away, light headed, exhausted, numb extremities, could not remember anything, I was so fucking pissed about it. It lasted a solid week that fucking zombie like feeling is the worst thing I have ever had to deal with in my entire life.

You apparently don't know how this is actually done in modern times.

Empty plastic bottles take up a lot of space, and that wastes warehouse room and costs extra money to ship. So nobody makes bottles in one plant and then ships them elsewhere to be filled.

Instead, they make what's called a pre-form. It has the threaded neck of the bottle already molded, but the main body is not finished yet. Those are what are shipped to the bottling plant in sealed packages which is easy and economical because of how small the preforms are.

Then, once in the bottling plant, the same machinery which fills the bottles with water expands the preforms to their finished size. Nowhere in the process does a big empty bottle sit around gathering dust. They are filled literally seconds after being formed.

The tap water at my place tastes better than bottled water. But then again I live in a good area in Germany.

I drink water in a pint glass whenever I'm at home or at a friend's house, and whenever I'm out I take a 500ml bottle with me which I refill. Sometimes when I'm refilling my glass, I neck a whole pint before I refill it. It's really easy to drink 3 litres of water.

Do you drink wine, or tea, or grapefruit juice? Or eat rice, or oats, or lamb? Or consume any of a huge range of other foodstuffs?
>Yes
Then the odds are the fluoride from your municipal supply would only make up a small portion of your intake per day.

Fluoridated water supplies are an attempt to protect people with shitty diets and no oral hygiene. Anyone with a reasonably normal diet gets more fluoride from other dietary intake than from water fluoridation.

Not everywhere in America, no.

>2017
>still buying the Bottled Jew
>not collecting your own rainwater and running it through a purifier

My nigger, there is no alternative than this. I only drink that period.

>move from where you reside because I'm mad that you drink bottled water

well then what is a man?

A gallon is 2 soda bottles, dumbass.a

...

Not sure if this has been said, but drinking too much water is bad for the kidney's apparently

remember reading on 4cahn somewhere that drinking too much water can actually kill you.

Drinking a lot of water is healthy, if you're doing some type of physical activity. If you 're just lounging around at home, shitposting on Veeky Forums for fuck all then you don't need to drink a lot of it..

kys

too much of anything can kill you, that includes water
if you drink water faster than your body can make use of it your kidneys just shunt out whatever they can into your bladder
if you drink water even faster than that, faster than your kidneys can get rid of it, then your blood will get too diluted
if your blood gets diluted past a certain point the salts in your body will transfer into your blood by osmosis, which is bad, especially for certain tissues like your muscles and nerves
that can kill you
theoretically there's a point beyond there where your blood gets too diluted to deliver oxygen to your body, but I think realistically you'd die of the other effects of too much water before you got to that point
also your bladder isn't a balloon, it's a little stretchy but you can actually burst it just by having very large amounts of urine in it, and that's almost guaranteed to give you an infection which again might kill you

Pure water without anything dissolved in it will also kill you

Nice job restating his point.

Staying well-hydrated is important to your health, but your body generally obtains a lot of the "water" it needs through the food you eat.

I like water and don't drink soda but often it makes me feel horribly nauseous. Ive puked because of it. Doesn't matter if it's tap or bottled.

Why? I drink mostly watered down Gatorade at work now.

Thanks

That wasn't restating his point, moron. user was pointing out something that skips to the "osmosis" step. Pure water will leach your body of vital stuff.

>not moving to finland and being able to drink the purest tap water in the world.
>is actually free of fluoride

I use to do this in high school when i played football. I'd have two of them in rotation; one in the freezer all day, and one is take to school in the morning. In the spring and summer heat leaving one in my locker all day would leave me with a super cold gallon of water with a bit of ice left over for practice or games.

Worked great and i didn't have to pay for some fancy bottle or waste paper cups during practice.

I mean, it'll kill you faster, but a mouthful of it won't hurt you
water doesn't stay pure for long anyway, most known substances will dissolve in it

1½-2 liters per day depending on your size is recommended by experts.
Literally anyone knows good amounts of water is healthy.

youtube.com/watch?v=sIC5_fVFCHQ

So thats not in south germany(Bayern), I remember tap water there had a terrible taste. But isnt it a thing everywhere in Germany? too much calcium in the water?

drink enough but not too much

if you are drinking too much it could be a bad sign

drink when you're thirsty, it's not harder than that.

Get a pitcher with a filter. I had a friend that had one that the refrigerater refilled automatically. Shit was cash, I wouldn't know how to set it up myself, but it's a thing that exists and everyone should have one.

I hate to break it to you user but that's called confirmation bias. You have some other weird health problem.

The average diet contains about 10x as much fluoride as drinking 8 glasses of water per day would give you. It's a naturally occurring bioavailable mineral that's absorbed by many plants, not just a byproduct of bauxite refineries.

There was actually a water-drinking contest that a radio show hosted once. A woman died because she drank too much water. Something something toxicosis.

web.archive.org/web/20170221053103/http://articles.latimes.com/2007/jan/14/local/me-water14

Drinking too much of it on an empty stomach? If you're hungry, drinking too much water can make you feel sick.

Post water regulations of the place where you live, pic related is written in pizza but most of the elements names' are similar to english.
Significant differences in values between the two, spaghetti legislation?

>Post water regulations of the place where you live
Could this thread get more boring?

Drinking a lot of water puts a lot of strain on your kidneys apparently.
A liter or 2 a day seems reasonable.

Could be. Poland has the same problem, so it's not the best idea to drink water straight from the tap.

God this guy is a nutjob, it's fucking hilarious that he gets payed to rant about his conspiracy theories on the radio.
