>Not drinkers eh?
I was professional for nearly a decade, which is why I have retired

I've noticed it's become a trend for bartenders to make martinis with no vermouth, and for drinkers to order them with vodka instead of gin. What's the reason/point of this? At that point aren't you just drinking a cold shot of vodka or gin at that point? Why even order a martini?

STFU nigger kike faggot!

Better now?

lime daiquiri, please, and easy on the sugar

wat
Granted, I like very little vermouth in a martini, but it is an absolutely essential ingredient to the most perfect cocktail on planet earth. Also, vodka martini has been a thing for decades; doesn't mean it's right.

Water.

you would be mass down voting across multiple accounts if you could. these threads are so fucking lame.

>HEY GUYS RUNNIN TO THE STORE CAN I GETCHA SOMETHIN?

peach schnapps, just bring the bottle.

Why do you hate fun user? Would a fucking McChicken thread be better you think?

Yeah, just last week I ordered one and after a couple sips realized it was nothing but chilled gin. I've heard of bartenders doing stupid shit like waving a bottle of vermouth over the glass or bowing in the direction of Italy too. I mean vermouth on its own isn't very good but a martini without it would be like an old fashioned with no bitters

I'll take a whiskey. Neat.

Best giv me a dark and stormy gov'na befere yee catch a betin to ya fayyce!

IMO as a bartender the definition of a martini has changed so much that I don't waste time trying to define the "proper" martini.Vermouth or no

I attempt to get my guests to be as specific as possible, if they fail to do that then they get something more traditional.

Dale Degroff says the proper martini is the one the drinker wants.

I paid $10 for one of those the other day
