What does taiyaki tastes like?

what does taiyaki tastes like?

Waffle with red bean.

What does red bean taste like ?

Red bean

like if refried beans were a little bit sweet, but not very sweet.

like sweet dry refried beans

pancake with a rich, grainy, somewhat creamy sweet filling and also beany. the filling does vary widely and can be anywhere from unsalted refined beans to custard like depending on the preparation

>rich, grainy, somewhat creamy sweet filling
So, like the inside of a Reese's cup, just not peanut butter flavored?

well, peanut butter/paste is oily and the starch in beans is more poofy so maybe a bit. definitely less grainy. taiyaki is cheap as hell though like 3 dollars for too many to eat for one person so why not just try it out m?

like very mild, powdery-grainy chocolate paste

Kind of like that, except it's not as solid.

Oh hell but fuck yeah

Shit and dirt

Like glorious Nippon steel folded 1000 times

so... glorious nippon steel?

>well, peanut butter/paste is oily
Have you never had a Reese's Peanut Butter cup?
The peanut butter filling in those is not the smooth, oily stuff from a jar; it's dry and gritty.

Eh, I didn't think it was anything special. The sweetness didn't really work with the beans for me. Not terrible, but not something I'll get again.

>what does taiyaki tastes like?
degenerated. but we are all gay for some reason

Disappointment, like all Japanese foods.

>red bean
>not delicious custard
fuck you all

sugoi~~~

suge~~

really sweet
there is no other way to describe it

As someone who lives in Japan...

Meh!

Custard, red bean, it doesn't matter. Shitty stale waffle with shitty filling.

Its a really fancy poptart when you get right down to it.

I AM THAT TAIYAKI!

...

It's like one of those sugar cones, with some redbean and sometimes some ice cream. It's alright

The ones filled with frozen strawberry custard instead of red bean are amazing.

dumbass keeps breaking his arm

Chewy texture with a satisfying and slightly sweet bite.

Texture is slightly crisp if fresh, while the filling is soft and a bit gummy. As for taste, go mix one or two tablespoons of white granulated sugar into a cup of warm water, and then imagine that flavor being delivered via mashed beans.

Damn i love freshly cook taiyaki. Microwave shit sucks.

Best ones I had were small ones made fresh right outside the train station. He had like 6 flavors, but I only bought the chocolate filled and caramel filled ones. They were so good.
It tastes like a pastry. An almost pancake like consistency pastry filled with filling.

kindof like peanut

I like the custard ones better than the azuki ones
