Ruby tuesdays is better even though more of them are closing

What's the appeal? Why would anyone opt for uninteresting, usually reheated, food, served in a tacky, stale atmosphere at double the price of its qualitatively equivalent fast food alternative in 2017? Even the farthest bumfucks have better options for any occasion these days.

It used to be good about thirty years ago, and old people don't want to switch to a different restaurant.

It like its sister restaurants are all microwaved

TGIF
Chilllies
Redlobster
Etc

Overpriced, microwaved TV dinners.

Are there any restaurants that dont reheat food and actually cook from scratch

Most, yes.

Any restaurant that is not a shitty chain?

It's the weakest in the segment.

Cheddar's > Chili's > Ruby Tuesday > Friday's > Olive Garden > Applebees

imagine being so flyover that the very concept of a restaurant serving fresh food is foreign.
I wish I could help these people.

It's acceptable if you're too lazy to microwave your own food and are willing to wait 5-9x as long for it to arrive and pay 2-4x what you'd pay retail.

Cheddar's desu

Ik pretty sure chillies chicken fajitas aren't microwaved

really? cheddar's doesn't microwave?

no but the onions and peppers that go on the skillet with the fajitas are. the chicken is frozen and thawed in a convection oven.

t. work at chilli's

When it comes to freshness, what would you recommend?

Golden Corral

Lots of cheap non-chain restaurants serve frozen ingredients/meals as their "cooking".

...

It's all from scratch.
