Roasting your own beans is a meme, right? I already feel like this hobby is already autistic enough compared to how everyone else makes their own coffee, but roasting would take it to a whole new level

Without matching tables it looks trashy. He should invest in a multilevel or wider table to hold everything within the same design aesthetic, also zones should be more clearly defined. All ujitasker implements should be hanged from hooks, multitasker get shelf space. What he has now is just a bunch of expensive assorted equipment in a layout that is so ugly it bruises fruit.

Starbucks coffee sucks. They use tons of cheap robusta beans and then burn the shit out of them to mask any problems with the flavors.

Anonymous is about $75, and the cheapest grinder currently produced I'd ever recommend under any circumstances. There are some usability quirks compared to the others (PITA lid), but it's really solid goind quality wise.

3 cinnamon sticks and like 6-8 whole cloves in this batch. I also like scraping up vanilla bean and tossing that in.

In my old tassimo, I would throw in an espresso cup, and then hold down the "dispense more" button until the mug was full, then add my usual dash of cream.

How many cups did you drink a day, bruff.

So I know I'm doing something wrong, but I have no idea what it is. I'm trying to use my Hario v60, with a Baratza Encore grinder. Problem being, almost every time I try to actually brew a cup, the filter holds the waters for far too long, barely anything even dripping through the filter. This has happened even when my Encore is set at ~30, just as when it's on ~15. It results in a brew taking ages, and tasting undrinkably bitter.

Any ideas?

The only difference between pourover cones is the size of the hole on the bottom.
Large gaping holes leak all their water right away, meaning you have to pour very slowly and deliberately if you want any extraction.
Smaller holes are much more forgiving and idiot-proof.

Are you using hario brand filters?
They changed their supplier at some point and all the reviews on amazon complain that they're shit now.

I didn't think the filter quality actually mattered until I tried generic walmart filters over melitta and the difference in taste was night and day.

kalita wave is probably the best intersection of easy to use and good coffee unless you like the bonavita dripper

My question is, can I just nuke the hell out of it at the highest temperature or should I let it slowly cook at a lower temperature?
