Here in Pennsylvania it's a tradition among Polish people to eat them at midnight at New Years. My stepmother gets them for that but I end up eating the rest of the jar

I love lamb/goat but the sweetness of raisins in rice has always thrown me off, I just can't get used to it.

As a child I used to hate raisins with rice, I thought it was stupid.

When I tried the actual authentic cuisines from afghanistan and Arab countries which used raisins I realized the raisins they used were more sour and less sweet. Really delicious.

As an amerifat myself, I have to say you're retarded. Until this year I'd always made vinegar brined pickles but after fermenting them in a salt brine I will never go back. Vinegar brined are inedible compared to a fermented half or full sour.
