I think I spent like $28 at LJS about a year ago after realizing I hadn't eaten it in a decade.

I'm old enough to remember this exact menu. I'd always order a footlong cheese coney and a lime slush. The drinks used to come with little plastic cup decorations - mermaid, monkey, giraffe, and an elephant I think. I used to have a collection of them when I was a kid. I was sad when they stopped using those. Man, I haven't had a lime slush in forever.

I grew up in Washington and there was amazing fresh seafood everywhere, including the best seafood place in America, Ivar's

Now I live in the midwest and Long John's is the only reasonably priced seafood place around here, and they're horrendous compared to the fish back home

The one and only time I've gone to that restaurant (or any sea food restaurant for that matter) was for that tasty basket. Sea food deserves more appreciation in the restaurant industry.

A store opening a few years back in my area had certain items at deeply discounted prices throughout the week to mimic the menu prices of decades ago. The prices can only go so high until something gives in.
