Pizza

pizza thread. what's your favorite topping? I like olives, black are definitely the best but green are nice to have sometimes. I like to pair it with salami.

ps challenge thread where? it's pizza month

My go-to pizza is either Hawaiian or black olives/sausage/green peppers.

I like all topping but I need to find a good cheese blend. Plain mozzarella doesn't cut it. I've used Colby jack before but it just doesn't have that nice stringiness.

pepperoni, sausage, and bacon

prolly prosciutto, can be paired with almost anything.

I am going to attempt something in a month. I'm going to make a 100 cheese pizza. What type of cheeses do you guys recommend?

Toppings can vary, so many different ones. I like pizza cooked on the grill, gets a tasty smoky flavor that can't be had from cooking any other way.

I would say for me it's as follows

Pepperoni
Sausage
Green Olives

This is usually my default choice, however sometimes...

Pepperoni
Sausage
Green Peppers
BLACK OLIVES

Honestly I much prefer GREEN olives to BLACK olives, they have a salty good taste that is just superior, however, with the inclusion of Green Peppers, I feel it would be visually wrong to have both Green Peppers AND Green Olives, so in this circumstance I go with the Black Olives

One more combination I do is as follows

Pepperoni
Pineapple
Parmasan

I need ranch dressing in a cup for this, because this one gets dipped in ranch dressing.

I also love BLT pizza
Lettice
Bacon
Tomatos
Mayo
All of this goes on a pizza loaf with no marinara sauce at all, just the cheese

NY style crust
alfredo sauce
cheese
black olives
pineapple
spinach
banana peppers

what is NY style crust or how is it different from neapolitan pizza?

...

Black olives, anchovies and fresh tomato slices.

why does it look diseased?

It's how New Yorkers prefer it

Either plain cheese, pepperoni or green pepper and sausage on thin crust.

pic related is the best place near me. but its a lot more expensive than dominos.

Yes. We have this twisted aversion to "pizza" where every bite is 80% Wonderbread which is all that they can seem to crank out elsewhere in the country, with a few exceptions. Us backward NYers huh?

And the pic is literally fucking Sbarro. That's like me judging all burgers from Illinois based on a pic of a McDonalds single cheeseburger.

If this guy can force his shitty frozen pizza that he made more than a year ago, then I'm gonna force my shitty homemade pizza that I made over a year ago.

Put ur thumbs up if you've seen me post this bad boy before ;)

ITT: people post their favorite open-faced sandwiches

NY crust is thinner, but not crackery thin. It's still leavened.

I like it better than Neapolitan.

That's Sbarro. It's the McDonald's of NY pizza.

oh my god I want to fold that fucker and go to town

I think the difference between NYC pizza and other pizzas is quite simple

NYC pizza is a snack, most other places consider pizza a meal

NYC pizza is something you get a slice of in between meals while you're walking around, because honestly if that was supposed to be a meal I would need to eat like 50 slices of it, clearly it's just meant to be a quick cheap street food rather than something you sit down and eat

Anchovies, black olives, and basil leaves is my favourite, I like quattro formaggi a lot as well though. Also I really want to try a white clam pie, I feel like that'd be very good but no one does them where I live

Ham
Replace the tomato sauce with bbq sauce

That's what I order, I call it American style

This place nearby "Marco's" pizza is amazing

>thin crust, regular bake
>extra zesty tomatoe sauce
>extra cheese
>grilled chicken
>yellow onions
>green bell peppers
>spinach
>square cut

Primo stuff

Classic Brooklin style, cheese w/ pepperoni's pretty good too

Nigga Marco's is a chain. They have locations all over the place.

It's way better than other chain pizza though.

Damn that looks good. Is that Detroit style?

thanks for the proper answer.
ok, that makes sense, although the one in doesn't look all that better.
i was asking about the crust since someone said he specifically liked the NY pizza crust.
that looks exactly like pizzahut's mizza

I made these for the challenge thread but it died :(

balsamic, garlic cloves, ghost pepper hot sauce and oregano in the sauce

birds eye peppers, green onion, pepperoni, fresh mozz, extra mature white cheddar, and ricotta on one

...

without ricotta, extra onion, pepperoni below cheese

with ricotta and pepperoni on top of cheese

These were both thin crust, got nice and crispy

American, slices.

This is probably the first NY za Ive seen that makes me go hnnnnnigjggggn

Pineapple and olives no cheese

Thats a shame user :(
Your pizza looks really nice tho I like the combination of chillies you used
Is very nice pizza
Well done :3

th-thanks user

I would recommend it

Sliced Italian sausage, by far my favorite pizza topping

I also like anchovies and crushed garlic

Stop using pre shredded cheese. The starch they add to keep it from sticking to its self kills the stretch

Wood fired brick oven

that looks good
