Why are soaps and hand washers so shit these days?

Why are soaps and hand washers so shit these days?
>make food involving garlic
>vigorously wash hands and fingertips afterwards with Dove ""soap""
>still can smell the garlic
what are some good soap brands that actually does what it's supposed to?

Not this meme again.

Cutting cost.

Dawn still works for a fair amount of oil or carbon. Palmolive does a decent job and is a better sanitizer. Then you have to move into industrial shit.

Can vegans use soap?

Use a lemon to get rid of cooking odors on your hands.

then how would i get rid of the lemon odor?

> Can people who cons use animal products use this non animal product?

Why are you carnists so obtuse?

U could try sticking your hands up your butt. That prolly works. Then you would have butt odor hands tho. So wash with soap afterwards dingaling.

if you want to get rid of garlic smell just use dish soap

soap is made of jew flesh you sperg. FLESH = MEAT = animal product

You know a shitload of soaps are made with beef fat, right?

I use garlic all the time, but I don't have this problem.

I have noticed that with bar soaps, I can dig my nails into them and the garlic aroma underneath strengthens SIGNIFICANTLY when in contact with the soap. Anyone know the cause of this?

Almost all soaps in bar form use animal products, and a large portion of the cheaper liquid ones do too.

Additionally as an aside for the thread, most soaps and fragrances are harmful to your skin in general. Never use fancy scented fabric softeners or soaps for clothes, never use them when you can avoid it for dishes and certainly avoid for bathing.

>soaps are often edible
>can be made out of mostly kitchen stuff
>are actually legitimate convos for a cooking board

Pic related is a genuine vegan soap, which are rare in the market (Still cheap) and most meme-vegans dont even think about this sort of thing.

Plenty of soap made out of coconut oil, olive oil, cocoa butter, etc. all
Soap is is oil and lye and water. All the overpriced fancy shit in the market today is crazy. I will say that tallow makes the best moisturizing soap. So you kinda have a point.

Nothing will get your hands cleaner.

use actual solid soap. Liquid soap does diddly dick

You guys are all fucking idiots.

>put any regular hand soap on
>lather
>take a stainless steel spoon and rub it between your hands while rinsing the soap off

Wa-fucking-la

>Kresto.
This stuff is the best for anything. You only need a tiny amount each time you wash.

the Veeky Forums approved solution to this problem is to use Jarred Garlic :)

Your welcome honey

i use disposable gloves for garlic and onion

Fucking kek. I bet you also think your own cum is discussing

This is the answer you're looking for OP

What is the nature of this spooge debate

>smell the garlic

This. Stainless steel, soap, and warm water. No more garlic smell.

>you guys are idiots
>wa-fucking-la

Im really getting sick of all these massive faggots complaining about garlic.
Grow the fuck up.

its true

>I do not like this smell
>I am going to smear P&G/Unilever poison on myself until the smell goes away

??? What did he mean by this?

A lot of soaps use animal fats in them...
Lmao a vegan who doesn't know what she's talking about, big surpise

Is this the stuff that smells like orange cleaner and has the little abrasive bits of whatever in it? Stuff is great.

"Linalool" is a fancy word for beef fat.

It's in most soap.

use toothpaste to get rid of smells

>rub poison on your hands
This thread is extremely jewish. Do any of you fuckers know what castile soap is?

Linalool is a naturally occurring alcohol found in plants dingdong. Tallow is beef fat.

Excepth those that demand dry hands before using.

Soaps are alkaline (basic), just buy a bottle of sodium hydroxide and mix it in with your normal soap. Really good for tonnes of grease.

Gojo Orange with Pumice will treat you right

This. You guys know you're just gonna have garlic coming out of your pores anyway when you eat what you cooked, right?

rub hands on benis

but how do you get that under your nails and into your cuticle area? i always seem to get garlic all over my hands?

just stop using garlic.
it tastes bad and smells terrible plus you smell like shit after using it

Does that lizard have a fucking chain?

>>take a stainless steel spoon and rub it between your hands while rinsing the soap off
Why?

Get workshop soap
whatever was on your hands shall be purified

>there are people here who don't like the smell of freshly ground garlic

>>>/reddit/

kys

>He doesn't know

Chromium is highly reactive, that said it can only react with what it touches, so it will only really work with your finger tips.

Just use listerine, fluoride destroys odour as well as brains.

rub hands on green grass, gets grass smell

try rubbing your hands with baking soda paste to neutralize the scent.

then how would i get rid of the baking soda odor?

>baking soda
>odor

>implying that stinky hippies would ever let soap get near them

LOL stupid vegan has been smearing animal fat based soap all over its body and didn't even know it.

I'm going to moo at you. Moooooooooooooo.

OPE
POE

Get a Marseille soap bar, it's the same recipe as the Romans used (with no lye burns).
For garlic, apparently stainless steel works best.

I use them for hot pepper and turmeric. The later acts as a dye and isn't washable.
It's overdoing it to use them for garlic and onion when you can easily wash your hands.
You have poor hand hygiene boy, that's not OK. Seriously, you'll catch mycosis on your genitals one day if you don't learn to wash your hands correctly.

Well shit, I hadn't noticed.

What does it smell like, and how does one rid their hands of whatever smell it happens to be?

Instead of trying to get the smell off, just try to prevent it from happening in the first place. Don't keep touching the garlic after it's cut up. Use a utensil to scoop it off the cutting board.

yea how do u get rid of it?

...

w-what, I thought I was the only one
is this a widespread thing?

The name and color of the packaging suggest to me that this soap is tobacco scented. Please tell me I'm wrong.
