Traditional Mexican "Chili con carne"
Traditional Mexican "Chili con carne"
Oh wow!
Wraps bowl in plastic to forgo Washing!?!
It's in a garbage bag already for getting it where it belongs efficiently!
D-lish!
I always use ground turkey in my Mexican chilli too! It's a lot healthier then fatty ground beef, and the kids don't even notice the difference!
ProTip: Substitute cottage cheese for the sour cream and cheddar cheese toppings to make it even more healthy -and still SUPER yummy!
noobs
No, for easy preservation of remaining product
>The chemicals give it that extra zing
What the fuck?
Nobody who cooks is that fucking lazy. I refuse to believe it.
>"noobs"
>defends one of those abhorrent cooking accessories I've ever had the misfortune of seeing
k
The fuck is this? I expected to get posts about the turkey, beans and corn. I don't understand these two.
Maybe once your mom stops doing your dishes for you, you'll get it.
At least you had the decency to put chile con carne in quotes.
You cook chili like a retard. No go take that chili and stick up your retard ass.
Read this post in the voice of a middle-aged soccer mom
>corn not hominy
>ground beef
>obvious absence of green chilies
>fucking cooking in a garbage bag
>traditional
no thank you please.
Enjoy your cancer dumbass.
fucking hell...
>Traditional Mexican
That pot is as traditional as Taco Bell.
But slow cookers are easy to clean.
This is the most disgusting thing i have ever seen on this website.
That's because no ones posted a picture of you.
Gawd, I love Veeky Forums. Kidney beans and turkey is passable, but HOLY SHIT DON'T YOU DARE COOK FOOD IN BPA FREE PLASTIC!
Favorite bored. Veritably.
Genuinely chuffed that no one wants to post their good chili and would rather debate slow cooker liners (the greatest invention since slow cookers).
YES CUS ONLY BPA IS BAD FOR YOU!
holy shit you fucking retard, you deserve a cancerous death
What else is bad for me?
Wow thanks for the tip user
kys
Are you in an English speaking country? Just call it chili with meat, that's like calling rice with chicken, arroz con pollo.
More traditional. I guess you amerifats don't understand
>Maybe once your mom stops doing your dishes for you, you'll get it
Rough transition to adulthood?
What's wrong with the liner's, specifically?
there's literally obviously green "chilies"
That's what the dish was named on Billy and Mandy
...
This is violence. Delete this
Look at that disgusting corn swimming in that soup.
Nasty
OP needs to be perma banned
This brings shame to America and Mexico at the same time.
>trying to talk down to people when you make chili in a plastic bag
enjoy the taste of that sweet BPA
>Traditional
Literally been a Mexican my entire life and i have never heard of that shit, OP delete please
reminds me of how my dad would marinate steaks in a trash bag. I tried to get him to stop but dads never listen
mmmmm ESTROGENS
>Literally a Mexican
>His entire life
How did you do it?
My aunts and uncles grew up poor and subsisted on hominy as a staple food and will no longer touch any meal that uses hominy.
There's nothing traditional about that slop.
If you use a slow cooker you're either a lazy middle aged housewife or white trash, or both.
do we even need to list the reasons? ok:
too watery
no caramelization of the tomatos
not anywhere near enough mild to moderately spicy dried chile powder
corn
possible bell pepper chunks. even if jalapenos, thats not really proper
cooking method doesnt work: needs to be in a saucepan to caramelize
meat is apparently turkey - turkey works ONLY when the sauce is incredibly chilish in flavor, like maybe 10 tablespoons or more of ancho chile in the gravy
i bet it doesnt have any garlic in it
beans really dont help flavor at all. they should be added along with fresh onions and grated cheese, just for personal preference, as well as chilantro
>No carmelization of the tomatoes
Untrue
>No hot chilie powder
Also untrue
>Possible bell pepper chunks
Yes. With two Serrano
>Cooking method doesn't work
Peppers, onions, garlic and meat were cooked in saute pan, for your caramelization, before being tossed in the slow cooker
>Needs to be incredibly chilie-ish
Big old can of chipotles in adobo in there
>No garlic
See above, 5 cloves in there. Not sure how you can make that claim based on the evidence you have.
>Beans
The beans and corn we're honestly just to get my wife to eat it. I concede.
This stuff is real tasty, Veeky Forums. Please accept me.
What the fuck? Literally let it soak in hot soapy water for a little bit and it's not even a problem.
Lazy assholes like you are the reason this country is going to shit.
>mexican chilli con carne
Wtf is that?
>Beans in chili
>Corn in chili
Throw that bullshit in the trash. Poor man's filler crap.
Nice bait btw
I've been trying to find those fucking liners in canada forever
>t. guy that only cooks chili and hamburgers
No, fuck you, no acceptance for you, ever.
fuck all you guys beans are great in chili
Are those green bell peppers? Careful, they have quite some bite to them.
