Be ameriburger visiting Parma, Italy

>be ameriburger visiting Parma, Italy
>come to find out that NO ONE walks around with food or drink
Why are you pastaheads so god damn lazy? Do you really need to sit for half an hour to savor a single shot of espresso?

How the fuck is that lazy?

Burgers are used to people walking around with their heads stuffed into feed bags

If they couldn't sit around all day then they couldn't have high unemployment rates now, could they?

>t. assblasted frog

Why are you so fat that you need to eat every waking moment of the day?

>posted while using his feedbag

>Americans eat and drink while walking sometimes to save time and work more
>therefore they are fat and feel the need to eat constantly
>as oppoosed to Italians who have to put their entire day on hold for 30 minutes just to have one coffee
K

I'm american and basically never see people eat while walking. Sometimes people carry coffee but usually they don't drink it until they're sitting down

Considering all the other pointless shit you spend time on (e.g. shitposting here), is getting good coffee that much of a sin? Time spent on yourself isn't time wasted at all.

That's American ingenuity; we push this world forward. Frogs are only good for getting gunned down by mudslimes.

It's more than that though. The notion of takeout or even taking home your leftovers is also uncommon there.

That's because the portion sizes are smaller.

Instead of getting a meal and half worth of food each time you order, you get enough to eat then and not take home any

that's because noone walks

Yes we do. Learn to enjoy life, amerifaggot

>half an hour to savor a single shot of espresso?
Espresso is drunk quickly, often standing at a counter. But if you're getting it at your local the guy behind the counter is someone you see almost every day, so you make small talk with him while he makes your coffee, and maybe some of the other customers while you linger for a minute or two over the little glass of sparkling water that comes with the coffee. It's a lot more civilized than wandering out of a convenience store with a giant to go cup that you drink in your car. Unless you're getting something like a porchetta sandwich from a stand in a tourist area walking around with food is déclassé, because civilized people sit down and eat their meals at tables. And they don't rush through them like they're in prison.

That's the difference right there. Amerilards have bought into the neurotic puritan notion that if you're not slaving and toiling 24/7, then you're somehow a failure. God forbid we take an hour for lunch, the (((boss))) might raise an eyebrow and look at us funny after our coworker, little Ms. Backstabber ran and told him. And the wrath one faces if he tries to actually take 1 week vacation is just too much to risk. No doubt euros know how to enjoy life instead of endlessly slaving meaninglessly for our overlords.

Does he eat while doing so?

Is people walking around eating food really a common thing in america? Most people here at least sit down on a bench or something when eating in public.

I don't think that's overriding in American culture anymore. More and more people are self-employed or freelance over the last couple decades. They may still work hard, but they have some control over when and how many hours they spend doing it. Also there's much less incentive to just work hard for its own sake these days. You're not going to get a pension out of it. You're probably not going to make enough to support a family on one income unless you're lucky. Your copays for healthcare might be ridiculous, and you could fall right out of the middle class if you get sick. For a lot of us the 9-5 straight job just isn't that good a deal if there are other options.

>Most people here at least sit down on a bench or something when eating in public.

YOU CRAZY. AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR DAT SHIT

No, we buy street food to eat it on the go. Sure you might stop to take a really big bite or take some halfsteps when you eat but the point is to eat on the go, is that so hard to get?

>Is people walking around eating food really a common thing in america?
Eating in the car is super common. Walking around with a coffee is common as well. And people often grab breakfast on the way to work, and eat it either on foot or in the car. It's very common for American mothers to have a bunch of snacks in their purses so they don't have to deal with a kid who wasn't hungry half an hour ago but is now suddenly starving.

>YOU CRAZY. AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR DAT SHIT

'mericans are very efficient at getting food into their mouths with the least amount of lag time.

Coffee in Italy is not "good coffee".

But I put my day on hold for an hour!
