Three prophets

Three prophets.
The first has 90% accuracy.
The second 30%,
and the third 0%

They all predicted that the world is going to end.
What is the chance the world is ending?

0

How? Having 0% accuracy does not imply that it is wrong 100% of the time.

If the third prophet is right 0% of the time, then there is a 0% chance that the world will end.

If you give n that was used to calculate each prophets accuracy then someone could put together a model for this shit, I wont though since I am a brainlet and dont want to be laughed at by Veeky Forums

100%.

The heat death of the universe due to entropy ensures that our planet will go as well.

This. How else would you gauge the chance of being right if hes been wrong everytime

50% as there are two scenarios

This. Are they truly that accurate or is that a sample mean or something else?

If #3 is ALWAYS wrong (and you are confident he always WILL be wrong in the future) then the world will not end.
A prophet who's always wrong is nearly as useful as one who's always right. Ask him if Bitcoin will be higher or lower tomorrow and invest contrarily.

Statistics are made only on past predictions. Only missing info is the number of false predictions the third one made. Assuming first and second made

this isn't about statistics you autist, this is a probability question

Since he's wrong every time his opinion is always irrelevant.

Dude entropy LMAO XD

ITT: retards who dont know how statistics work
just because he is right 0% of the time doesnt mean you can take his answer when you have other information as well, propabilioty is 0 + 30 + 90 / 3 ~ 40% cahnce

Prob of all three telling the truth is 0.9*0.3*0.0, i'm sure you can figure out yourself what it means.

acording to this if every person prerdicts with 50% accuracy its like 0.33 instead of 0.5 as it obciosly is.

Probability of ALL being correct you mong

That makes no sense if you take into account the question itself. Reread.

How does it not make sense ? It's proven that all three can't all be telling the truth, so one of them must be lying. Since they are all speaking about the same thing, if one of them is certain to be lying, then they all are.

It's a prophecy (prediction), not a predicate.

jacob here

Impossible

Bayes rule.
Now fuck off with your homework.

0%

It's not homework

not irrelevant, his opinion is wrong

50/50 it either happens or it doesn't.

0% accuracy means it will not happen at all or that what he is saying about the ending of the world has no revelance to actuality?

It comes down to semantics as always, but the way it's formulated, accuracy being 0 means he is never right. Not that he has never been right in the past or that he will never be right in the future, it just states that he is never right. How we know this is unimportant, and considering this, the question is trivial.

but if he is never right than he is always right since people can just take the negation of what he said

OP said he is right 0% of the time.
This means he is wrong 100% of the time.
If OP had said the prophet "has been right" 0% of the time so far it would be different. But that's not what OP said

>Assuming their predictions are independent
Boy
