If I had a gun that shot a projectile the size and mass of a grain of sand but at velocities approaching near the speed of light, would the impact on a man sized target be:

A) Devastating; the sheer energy transfer would be so high the target would be obliterated.

B) Negligible; the projectile is moving so fast that it would pass through the man without any energy transfer whatsoever.

if this took place on earth the target would be obliterated even if you aimed in the opposite direction
