Is cannabis good, bad, or neutral for you? Can it help you overcome mental deficiencies, or does it create more of them? I'm having a difficult time finding any data that isn't biased for or against it in some extreme way.

Its impossible to find unbiased data on marijuana. You will either have "Reefer is evil" nutjobs or "Weed cures cancer" retards. Mostly though, weed is less harmful than alcohol and alcohol is legal. Which would then imply that marijuana should be legal

Excess inhalation of smoke is always bad for you, but it's not as bad as alcohol. But you can also consume or inject pot rather than smoking it.

I haven't partaken in it in probably five years, but I have heard from other users that it helps them with noetic tasks, like solving math equations and reading legalistic texts. Of course this evidence is empirical, and on the surface it sounds kind of ironic, but I am just curious if cannabis really does help people comprehend things more easily.

Of course, it is hard to tell because the science itself is either biased or vague. Or I am just bad at reading scientific data.

Bad and it creates more of them.

It's bad for you and it can and will create more of them.

From my experience it helps with higher level creativity but at a cost of using above rudimentary logic. Which is to say that while you don't lose reasoning while stoned, you do lose the ability to use higher level reasoning while stoned.

I've only smoked a few times in my life though.

Not true. All the studies (even at the health department level) say mj smokers have better breathing functions than nonsmoking or tobacco smokers.

>all the studies
Produce one that says smoking a blunt is better for your lungs than not smoking at all
