>Damore
>Peterson
back to /pol/

What's wrong with Peterson?

Damore is a Nazi who doesn't think women should work at Google. Fucking incels.

We tried to sound the alarm on postmodernism back in the 90s but none of you listened.

Peterson is a brainlet who was laughed out of Harvard, and Damore was a fucking biology major at a shitty state college.

Both should be treated as Lolcows on this board.

At best he's a charlatan, at worst a moron. He unironically uses the phrase "post-modernist cultural marxists".

Why not just wear a shirt that says "I have a small penis", OP?

>9565258
He's just misrepresenting because he has been consuming media that has been reinforcing his bias instead of actually knowing what he's talking about
youtu.be/z86kVQxXt7g
Jordan Peterson didn't get tenure at harvard. That's not the same as being laughed at since getting tenure at harvard is extremely difficult.

And on Damore:
>It wasn’t until his mid-20s, after completing research in computational biology at Princeton and MIT, and starting a PhD at Harvard, that Damore was diagnosed with autism

They both have opinions which challenge the mainstream and I'm surprised that they're strawmanned as /pol/-men since the naziboos on /pol/ think they're both cucks and merchants.

>also have you noticed they don't get further than name calling?

>respect existence or expect resistance
pretty clever desu

Good read desu

i love that peterson triggers people more than actual nazis

If people were actual Nazis the left would platform them left and right because they confirm their biases and paranoia, I feel like most of the media and intellectual have transcribed most historical works and science through leftists lenses. They seem to draw the wrong conclusions all the time usually basing the cause of everything to be a single set of things sexism, racism, or capitalism. It's easy being a leftist, your confirmation bias is constantly assuaged and you never hear a counter-argument, most people believe the first thing they hear which is usually leftist thought because they run the media. The same way people in the middle east trend Muslim and the west christian, because it is the first thing they hear.

Oh look, one of those pseudo-intellectuals whose only merit is to make sjw mad.

No, Just discredit them, people are so afraid of the sexism, racism label that they're becoming totalitarian construct along the lines of the inquisition.

...

Only merit? The SJWs control university campuses, are embedded in the government including grant issuers, and are stunningly effective at getting wrong-thinkers fired (James Watson). How is this not something that has a very high priority?

I learned to be distrustful of charlatans (Peterson) who are only famous because they trigger a group a blue haired lesbians.

There are many notable people out there who do the same and don't say retarded things like that guy.

>best teeth in the game
Nice bait though he is quite open about being leftist.

the way he bothers arrogant ivory towers is becoming more amusing than the blue hairs

I would disagree with Alex Jones, Zizek, and Chomsky

Jones doesn't aspire to be an intellectual, he's playing a fictional persona on his program for entertainment purposes

Zizek and Chomsky are pre-Youtube pre-internet and are actually respected intellectuals. Disagreeing with them doesn't mean they're pseuds.

Chomsky has some good ideas but some really bad ones too. Zizek is a troll and he strawmans Peterson which is just pathetic.

What are the retarded things that you are referring to?

I understand if you don't like that he's become a pop-sci professor practically preaching to the frog posting masses. But I don't think he has said a lot of retarded things lately.

It's very interesting how he's misrepresented so often that it's clear that we don't have objective media anymore. You could make the case that it never existed but it seems like it's getting worse with the partisan bias, whether it's breitbart or bbc channel 4.

>Jones doesn't aspire to be an intellectual, he's playing a fictional persona on his program for entertainment purposes
nah that's a cop out

Thank you for taking the time to Correct The Record.

So long as we're lying, let's say that Damore eats babies.

>laughed out of Harvard
He held a chair, and went on to work at York, so not sure what you mean by this.
>Damore is stupid and ugly and I don't like him
Is that how he got hired? Google hires unqualified people?

Oh no, you called me a name, now my beliefs are different.

Not the guy you are replying to but he is right about the ugly part

I'm not sure who they are but they succeeded in derailing the conversation with unsubstantiated ad hominems

So what do you guys think of the state of the academic world?

>>Damore

>back to /pol/
You realize that Peterson is pretty hated on /pol/, right?

>I'm surprised that they're strawmanned as /pol/-men
You really shouldn't be, Veeky Forums is rife with "skeptic community" tier brainlets. Only once in a blue moon will you run into people that can actually reason with logic around here, instead of judgemental autists that jump to close-minded conclusions based on emotional biases, limited information, and sloppy heuristics. If this were a /puremath/ board, things might've been different.

>I'm surprised that they're strawmanned as /pol/-men
What?
It is the most common argument by the left against anyone who challenges them, why are you surprised.

>merchants
It is true that Peterson loves his Jews.

Maybe I should clarify more:
I'm surprised they're being strawmanned as /pol/acks, since everyone here knows and lurks /pol/ from time to time. It seems ridiculous for shills to so blatantly make statements that are so easily corrected

It's not novel input, but one of the bigger problems here are the information bubbles.
