>there are still """"people"""" that use Pi
l'mao why are there brainlets that still use this outdated meme constant

PI: circumference/diameter
Tau: circumference/diameter + circumference/diameter
Which one makes more sense hmmmmmmmmm
>tfw birthday is on tau day and not pi day
XDDDD MATH XDDDS NUMBERPHILE XD XDDDD XDD
Watch 3Blue1BRown's new video.
pi for gr/qm """" + qm/gr """"
Half the time, tau takes more characters to express the same value as pi.
Since pi is already established, what's the point.
Tau a shit. It would only be """efficient""" in some brainlet tier math. In real math it would make shit convoluted and ugly. God clearly intended for us to use pi.
radius is more fundamental than diameter
rho = pi/2 = tau/4 = semicircle/diameter
The superior constant.
[math]e^{i\pi} = -1[/math]
vs
[math]e^{i\tau} = 1[/math]
Get out vi hart
>half the maximum distance between two points
sure is bud.
>"heh, i'll just make a dismissive post and pretend to be disinterested" the diameterfag mumbled
>his key board slowly clacked as he made his three word retort
>he breathed heavyily after excerting all of his strength finishing of the catpcha
>"that'll show him"
>he hit the verify button, and then submitted his precises and deviating opinion
>God clearly intended for us to use pi.
Talking to OP is a lost cause. International System of Units (SI) assigns
special names to Three (3) dimensionless derived units: Pi (pi), the
radian (rad) and the steradian (sr); now QM and GR are united.
Happy Pi Day
>i'm not smart enough to prove him wrong, so I'll defer to an authority that agrees with me
There is literally no reason to go to tau, if you struggle with the "factor of 2" that pi brings on the unit circle you aren't gonna be a great mathematician anyway.
>There is literally no reason to go to tau
and i bet you think that Bill Nye isn't real scientist
2pi, it's easy, the fuck even is this tau shit get it away from me
no
Haha, you're the true brainlet

Haπ day.
What is more convenient to use?
2πr and πr2?
or
τr and τr24?
The first one.
>le tau meme xD
Edgy. Or how about you stop being a lazy fuck and just write 2π in your calculator.
>2π is greater than π.
No shit.
Sage.
Fact 1: there are tons of things that weren't defined the simplest way (take physics where charge is defined using current intensity despite the opposite making more sense)
Fact 2: using [math]\pi[/math] or [math]\tau[/math] is equivalent since they are defined to differ by a factor of 2 and they make no axiomatic difference
Fact 3: on average, youtubers have next to zero education in serious science or math and make ass-poor arguments to defend their hipster fads
Fact 4: OP is a faggot
Herasy
You can't accurately measure a radius of any circle, you can very easily measure the diameter.
