Cheesecake, Brownies, Lemon Meringue Pie, Cherry Pie, Sticky Date Pudding, Plum Pudding, Pistachio Gelato, Profiteroles, Pecan Pie and Apple Crumble are all better than Tiramisu.

also, don't dip the ladyfingers too much in the coffee, I fucking hate when they are all mushy and shit. Also put cocoa powder (without sugar added) on top, not shaved chocolate, it complements the sweetness of the mascarpone cream really well.

I love tiramisu, but I would never EVER trust an italian.

i made tiramisu with dark rum. it tasted really good and everyone loved it. is marsala better?

it's really easy to make, even if you make the ladyfingers yourself.

you should dip the ladyfingers in the espresso. pouring it over will make the ladyfingers really soggy. you should also mix the whipped cream with the mascarpone before putting it on the ladyfingers. and sprinkle the cocoa powder over each layer of filling. otherwise it looks okay.

I used to make a pretty good vegan one. I don't have baked desserts much anymore because I prefer fruit.

After a long time thinking I have concluded that it might just be bananas foster cheesecake. My aunt made one for Thanksgiving, it was so fucking delicious.

I usually just grab a doubleshot from a coffee shop while I'm picking up the other ingredients. Instant probably works fine though.

But like everyone else has said it's a pretty easy dessert to do, just make sure you're gentle with the whipped cream/marscapone mixing and don't soak the ladyfingers for too long. Couple seconds should be fine, you don't want to see liquid pooling while you're assembling the ladyfinger layers.
