What is the best method for making hot chocolate?

Spic user here, I usually just put some of pic related into a pot with some milk. I was at my friend's house yesterday and he made some hot chocolate. He is white and he made it by mixing hot coco mix with hot water and putting whipped cream on it.
I like both methods. Which do you prefer?

Dutch process Cocoa is true cocoa.

Yo ya estoy hasta la madre
De que me pongan sombrero
Escucha entonces cuando digo
No me llames frijolero
Y aunque exista algún respeto
Y no metamos las narices
Nunca inflamos la moneda
Haciendo guerra a otros países
Te pagamos con petróleo
E intereses nuestra deuda
Mientras tanto no sabemos
Quien se queda con la feria
Aunque nos hagan la fama
De que somos vendedores
De la droga que sembramos
Ustedes son consumidores

Don't call me gringo
You fuckin beaner
Stay on your side
Of that goddamn river
Don't call me gringo
You beaner

No me digas beaner
Mr. puñetero
Te sacaré un susto
Por racista y culero
No me llames frijolero
Pinche gringo puñetero

Now I wish I had a dime
For every single time
I've gotten stared down
For being in the wrong side of town
And a rich man I'd be
If I had that kind of chips
Lately I wanna smack the mouths
Of these racists
Podrás imaginarte desde afuera,
Ser un mexicano cruzando la frontera
Pensando en tu familia mientras que pasas
Dejando todo lo que conoces atrás
Si tuvieras tú que esquivar las balas
De unos cuantos gringos rancheros
Las seguirás diciendo good for nothing wetback?
Si tuvieras tú que empezar de cero
Now why don't you look down
To where your feet is planted
That u.s. soil that makes you take shit for granted
If not for santa ana, just to let you know
That where your feet are planted would be México
Correcto!

Don't call me gringo
You fuckin beaner
Stay on your side
Of that goddamn river
Don't call me gringo
You beaner

No me digas beaner
Mr. puñetero
Te sacaré un susto
Por racista y culero
No me llames frijolero
Pinche gringo puñetero

Speedy Gonzales. Hey soos. Brown skin. Refried beans. Need I say more?

Oh ya

You have to go back.

Mutt user here. I usually do the white method, but add coffee creamer to it after.

water + mix is poverty / hotel lobby tier. You've got to use milk if you want the consistency right.
can't speak to what you've got pictured as Mexican hot chocolate is different than American, though I sort of want to try it now.

Milk Coco powder, vanilla extract, salt and sugar to taste

replace Coco power with melted chocolate if you feel like it
replace any amount of milk with cream if you're feeling indulgent
add peppermint snaps and cream de cocao if you're feeling frisky.

t. European

I eat the dried packets by dumping them in my mouth. Fuck water.

6'4", 180lbs

I feel bad for the rest of you faggots. Lol jk

>I eat the dried packets by dumping them in my mouth.
BASED

I'm no European though, Ive just been drinking hot chocolate since I was a little kid. Powder plus water isn't bad (I actually quite like it), it's just worse than milk.

Lol
Do you have Facebook?

>Lol
>Facebook
You need to leave.

>You've got to use milk
The shit I use has powdered milk in it.

I like to heat whole milk in the microwave and then just add a scoop of ovaltine.

...

just mix cocoa powder in boiling water

dates, cocoa, flax, vanilla, optionally some kind of nut/bean product, all put in blender, then heated a bit more if you want.

I prefer undutched. Do you even know what it is?

Cocoa powder + milk

>cocoa powder
>whole milk
>sugar
Seemed a bit weird at first, but now, I can't drink that pouch shit without thinking about just pouring it out instead.

I use a bar of Ibarra, melt that with like 3 cups of milk, and let it heat up with a cinnamon stick and some star anise, pop out the star anise and cinnamon stick after like 5-6 minutes, add a little vanilla and blend til it's frothy. I guess you could use a molinillo to froth it up if you don't wanna dirty up your blender.

How can you compare Abuelita hot chocolate with a cheap crappy packet mix??

Best is milk with a splash of cream or half and half (a tablespoon or 2 per serving, less if using heavy cream), 1-2 tbsp of cocoa powder, 3 tbsp sugar, a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of vanilla. Add a quarter teaspoon or less of peppermint, almond extract, rum flavoring, etc. or a sprinkle of cinnamon if you want.

Almost my entire family loves Molotov. My dad, sister, and 4 of my cousins. I can't fucking stand their music.

Just to not make this entirely off topic, I usually use the chocolate from the op. It's pretty good. A strong 6 to a light 7.

>pinch of salt
Ah, the salt meme.

Milk in small pot on stove. Low heat, stir constantly (I use a whisk, not for any particular reason) while adding powder to taste. Doesn't take more than a few minutes and always comes out the way you want it.

Okay, you asked for best:

Take 1/3 cup of semisweet chocolate chips, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup milk in a saucepot over medium heat.

Right when it boils, add another 3 1/2 cups of milk.
Heat the mixture, but don't boil it.
Beat with a wisker or apply an immersion blender until frothy.

Makes 6 servings.

>hot coco mix with hot water
This is how you make an inferior, pale imitation of hot chocolate. Real hot chocolate is always real chocolate and real milk minimum, period. No exceptions. It can be spruced up with a little cinnamon or nutmeg or mint or marshmallows, or whipped cream.

It's not even a meme, it's something to do with making people able to stomach more sugar

>Do you even know what it is?
Yes, I have internet. Do you know what it is?

My hot chocolate Thermos holds 2 cups so...
> 1 cup half and half
> 1 cup boiling water
> 3 table spoons of hot chocolate powder stuff
> a little bit of vanilla extract
> Extra hersheys chocolate syrup stuff

This is usually it.. sometimes I'll add cinnamon or peanut butter but I gotta get the peanut butter just right otherwise there's little jibblits of it in it and has a funky texture

If I'm making it at work and a friend wants some I pop a bit of whipped cream on top with a drizzle of chocolate and a bit of the powder for presentation.
