They're just a variety of eggplants. They show up at farmer's markets and often used in asian cuisine, but they are just smaller, thin skinned eggplant. I slice them in half, pull off the stems and saute them for stir fries, or to put into a pasta, a curry, or lay on the grill open faced when grilling a steak or some greek chicken. They are great for a person who doesnt want a giant large (globe) eggplant to consume in the same meal. The skin is really nice to leave on.
They should use this shit to clean up oil spills.
