Other Veeky Forums sites?

This looks more like a niche social circle of Veeky Forums tripfags.

For philosophy Reddit is definitely superior. You have r/philosophy mainly for discussion of articles and r/askphilosophy where you can ask a question and actually receive a response from someone with competence in the field. Just look at their Peterson threads and compare them to ours: reddit.com/r/askphilosophy/comments/7185cl/were_derrida_and_focault_communists_if_not_why

I guess Veeky Forums is kinda better for literature because here people can voice their opinions without feeling the need conform to popular views. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much interest in literature around here.

/leftypol/ is pretty good. it's like Veeky Forums but people actually read and believe in something. you should try it.

Goodreads has always been overwhelmed with edgy communist freshman and sophomores who think they are actually challenging the status quo with their worldviews. Veeky Forums has its fair share of the same, but not quite as bad. I would not suggest it.

There are some good author-specific subreddits, though. Reddit's Gene Wolfe board is pretty darn good.

That's exactly what it is

its shitposting central with occasional lit posting, so basically exactly like Veeky Forums

the actual lit posting, when it does happen, is way better than the posting on Veeky Forums though
