It depends on what you're going to do with them. I've never gotten frozen potatos, that just seems weird to me. They're not expensive so get them and use them.

The only thing that I freeze are hot peppers of various types. I don't wash them first, I bag them, put a date on them and that's that.
Over time I've found that it's best to not clean them first. Just tag em and bag em. Sometimes because of harvest time I have to buy enough for a whole year and stuff them into a freezer and that works out best to me.
