Pu erh is overrated

You shut your whore mouth.

What is Pu erh, anyways? Extra fermented black tea pressed into a shape?

Just got my bag of sassafras root in, I used to collect this stuff as a kid and it's super nostalgic.

>tfw no sassafras root in uk

The problem is that there aren't any good youtube channels.

Is Taylors of Harrogate a good brand?

Nope.
Commercial as fuck.

Can you use a meat thermometer like this to read water temperatures for tea?

Is that still illegal in the US?

yes

is white tea any good?

quick rundown?

I wasn't aware that it was ever illegal. It appears to be only illegal as a commercial ingredient, still makes excellent albeit bitter tea though.

No way, water isn't nearly as conductive to heat as meats are. :^)

believe it or not, not every thermometer is appropriate in every context.

yeah totally because the temperature to steep teas and the temperature to check doneness of meat will be radically different right ...

>acting pompous about a thermometer
that's a new one.

>can I use a lemon squeezer like this to squeeze limes ?

Thanks!
Who hurt this guy?

let it go, cupcake.

I like the MeiLeaf channel. He does shill his brand but the information is accurate and its pretty comfy to watch.

Shut up and take your licks

White tea can be very nice; I've had a few aged bai mu dans that impressed me, and silver needle is reliably good. Tastes very light, and it's not something most people would drink every day, but give it a shot.

Mei Leaf is pretty good.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned TeaDB. If you like the idea of two chill dudes sitting down to drink and discuss pu'er (and occasionally other teas), that's the place to look.

Been thinking about getting some green tea like Matcha or Sencha.
Is it overrated or actually good?

I enjoy a cup of Yorkshire Gold almost every morning and I like it.
Don't know anything about their other stuff though.

I love sencha. It's not mindblowing or anything, but it tastes very refreshing.

Yea, might get some then. I've never had it or Matcha so I was unsure if it's good or just over-hyped like most "trendy" things.
I just don't want to order a bag just to leave it in a tin forever just cause I don't enjoy it.
