Steak

What is the worst non-meme way to cook a steak?

And by non-meme, I mean dumb "milk steak boiled over hard" shit or the like.

Well done

Probably your pic. Retards that grill 3 inch thick steaks and either have a raw steak or a steak that's rare on the inside and completely burnt on the outside.

milk steak boiled over hard

I like to microwave my horse stakes, with some gumvines on the side.

Medium rare

reverse sear medium rare seasoned with salt and pepper in a cast iron skillet

I really don't get why people like the diamond sear patern. it just ruines the aesthetic of the steak 99% of the time

Steak is simple. Let your steak come to room temp. Liberally salt and pepper both sides. Pre heat oven to 425. Bring cast iron skillet to hotter than hellfire. Sear both sides 2min each. Add tablespoon butter to top of steak and move pan to oven for 3 minutes for perfect medium rare. Let rest on cutting board before serving. Serve with hearty red wine. Bordeaux goes very well with med rare steak.

Oh goddamn it. Misread the OP. Shitposting drunk.

Meem

Acceptable. Au poivre is the undefeated best steak preparation though.

he said WORST, not BEST
plain old boiling is probably the worst, or sous-vide without searing it afterwards

I prefer bearnaise

I like creamy mushroom sauce. Don't know if it has a fancy name.

oh lmao I definitely misread in that case

a well done steak that's been brined in buttermilk spiced with cinemon, cumin and dill(no salt) cooked on a gasfire grill and served with a side of ketchup and a kraft single

There's a pub near me that does an amazing peppercorn sauce. They serve it in a little jug so you can pour jest the right amount on your steak

OP said 'non meme'

I don't know but I feel like this is a good thread to share my steak.

I'm pretty excited about it. Salted, peppered, thymed and rosemaryed it a couple hours ago, then vacuum sealed it for the night. Gonna sous vide it tomorrow then finish it on the grill with the help of a searzall. :D

Any fucking asshole who keeps saying "meme" I want their steak to taste like shit.

I have this foolprooof recipe, given me the best steaks I've ever had

>get a ribeye
>season with salt and pepper and let sit at rtoom temp for 30 mins

>heat up frying pan to medium-high
>put steak on for 3 minutes
>flip and sear other side for 3 minutes
>add a pat of butter, 2 cloves crushed garlic, and fresh thyme sprigs
>baste the steak with teh butter garlic thyme mixture for about 1.5 minutes
>take off and let sit under foil for 10 mins
>eat with baked potato or homemade fries with garlic aoli

ThAT S FOR FLAVA

Oh, I forgot, add olive oil, just a tiny bit, clumbsy me

im confused... why the gloves...?

>letting yucky raw meat touch your fingers

Get a pan and put some butter on it, let it get very hot to almost boiling.
Put the steak on and sear both sides until well brown as fast as possible.
Take the steak off and salt it with kosher salt.
Put more butter and do the same.
This time when it’s searing pour a distilled liquor on it, browns it further and acts as a solvent for all the concentrated juices and fats stuck to the pan.
Cook until pink is middle or reddish.

I didn't use gloves for this, but they're good for things like chopping onion, peeling/mincing garlic, mixing spices in ground meat, and handling raw chicken.

I'm surprised you had to ask desu, I thought most people had some gloves in their kitchen.

Thats why you let it rest, retard

>not searing your steak in lard
I shiggidy fucking diggity.

Gotta be honest, getting a bit hungry looking at that.

>resting a raw steak will make it cook
Woah....

>I thought most people had some gloves in their kitchen.
no. we dont.
