Are you a vegan? Tons of things are cancer risks, including all charring on any sort of food. It's your personal judgment to balance the risks against their impact on your life. Wearing sunscreen any time you'll be outside for any period of time might reduce your risk of skin cancer, but it's a pain in the ass so most people only wear sunscreen if they'll be in strong sunlight for long enough that they might get a sunburn.
I'd also be surprised if cured meat as a bigger cancer risk than cooked meat, but I haven't done any research on the subject so I don't really know.
