Picked these up at a charity booksale last week.

Cum on them and post pics

Oh FUCK op. I read Koko when I was a kid, like age 14. It suuuuuuuucked. Very depressing. I'm excited you got the Enneads though, and that scifi is quality. Dickens can suck my chode.

Maybe later

...

Outstanding picks user. Poliscifag? I like your camera.

Good to know about Koko, a few people had recommended it to me.

I was pretty pumped to find the Heinlein hardcovers.

Yeah, IRfag in particular.

Picked these two up yesterday.

Buying paperbacks is literally wasting money.

>literally

Nice folio. Is that an abridged copy of Hellenica?

Thoughts friends?

>anthologies on single philosophers
just buy their works
cambridge is putting out all of hegel's works rn
there are already fantastic editions of most of kierkegaards works by the hongs

Yeah I just got it b/c it was $4, and given Keirk's massive oeuvre and progression a figured an anthology would be good. I'm to much of a brainlet for Hegels primary sources desu, the aesthetics lectures are incredible but a lot lighter

>too much of a brainless for Hegel primary sources
desu secondary sources for Hegel and Kant obfuscate the shit out of them
Phenomenology of Spirit is kinda dense but not a hard read
(good luck with Science of Logic tho)

Picked these up at a charity booksale today, 22 dollars
Best sale in all of America (>300,000 books on average each year)

you know tale of genji is over 1000 pages right
thats a horrific abridgement

This is why I make a list of translations before I hit the book sale.

I picked it up for 25 cents at the register, I figure I'll read the first chunk and buy a real copy if it appeals to me. Better than spending 4 bucks on a big book that won't fit on my already full dorm room shelf

Just picked these up recently. Which one should I read first guys?

>The Lost World
>The Secret Garden
>The Master and Margarita
>The Brothers Karamazov
>A Farewell to Arms
>Huckleberry Finn

i loved that thucydides

im still looking for a monet in thrift stores, probably the only artist in my top 5 I have no books by

which hukcleberry fin version did you get
i got bantam classics and its so low quality i dont want to read it

bump

What the fuck did you do to these poor books?

Did you love some kind of natural disaster area or did you steal them?

How much did all those cost OP?
If you like Anansi Boys read American Gods.

Buying anything is literally wasting money.

>>The Secret Garden
This book always comes up in these threads. I had no idea a children's book was so popular.

Got these today at my towns yearly booksale.

noice

Nice, user! I'm going to get some Chekhov myself next week.

You like Plotinus but not Dickens?

...

Probably going to read annihilation next because of all the hype about it right now. The rest I'll get around to in good time.

Well done my dude, Consider Phlebas is fantastic, Annihilation is great too but I really don't rate the second or third books very highly.

you guys read these books or just buy them to show off in these thread?

...

both ;)

To read. I usually don't buy them until after they've been sitting on my list for a while, and I've gone through the list a few times deleting the things I thought I wanted to read, but no longer do. Then they sit on the shelf by the bed with the other books in my immediate backlog. Any book that I think I'll never get around to I just get rid of.

That Lermontov is a gooood book

On the corner of logic lane. The knew what they were doing.

You taking a logic course or just shelf decoration?

I'm studying at Oxford.

>forgets the name field
I can't do fucking ANYTHING.
I was trying to pose as Malala, the pic is from her twitter.

kek

Best of luck. Read that last year, and it took me a month. Still don't think I understand the point of it.
