SPURIOUS

God wants you to be happy

God helps those who help themselves
-Possibly from Sophocles (fragment 288) "heaven ne’er helps the men who will not act"
-Quoted by Benjamin Franklin in Poor Richard's Almanac, 1757

>they all mean the same thing
woah

Ingesting stuff op

>god doesn't want you to be happy
>but he's omnibenevolent

thanks OP.
Just read Ecclesiastes today, still working through Isaiah.

I wish I read the bible sooner and my angsty-atheist-teen-phase didn't last so long. Oh well, Lord have mercy on me.

>>god doesn't want you to be happy
what is this in reference to?

>Let he who is without sin cast the first stone
>He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John 8:7 (KJV)
woah it's like a completely different meaning

>>god doesn't want you to be happy

correct, God wants you to be saintly, good, and live up to your potential as an image of Him.

>>but he's omnibenevolent

yes.

God cries when he watches anime.

God doesn't exist lol

>he can't read

No, because God wants you to praise him and appreciate his glory, and be subservient to him. As you're being subservient and praising something else, you're not living up to an image of him

>No, because God wants you to praise him and appreciate his glory, and be subservient to him.

Yes. I agree. why did you start the sentence with "no" ?

> As you're being subservient and praising something else, you're not living up to an image of him

did you misquote me?

>>he can't read

you mean the 'spurious' quote with no reference? what does that have to do with the real God, who wants man to be good and subservient to him? How is that contrary to his benevolence? You might be thinking of the hedonistic, new age god of "happiness", the false satanic idol Oprah Winfrey and hippies invoke

If you read the next sentence, it's obvious why I started it with no.

I don't believe I did misquote you

>wanting man to be good and subservient to him
>wanting man to emulate God and be like him
Pick un

Damn.. C&E christcucks on suicide watch

God cannot cry because he is impassible you weeb heretic

>I don't believe I did misquote you

Who is God? You said I praise and am subservient to something else...how so?

>Pick un

no.
they're both fine.

>God cannot cry.
John 11:35

>God the Son is God is Father
You say God, you mean the Father. Should have said Christ in your silly little shitpost, kiddo.

>You say God, you mean the Father. Should have said Christ in your post
No, I'm not a unitarian heretic.

Something else, as in not yourself

>they're both fine
No, because God doesn't praise things that aren't himself and is subservient to no one. Stop being retarded

>he denies patripassianism
Have fun in hell, Catholic

>subservient to no one
>praises no one
Read your bible. The Son is subservient and praises the Father. We are to emulate the Son. The Son is fully God. The Father is fully God.

It's among 'you' because Jesus was presently sinless so if he didn't put that he would have to start wailing on her (this is for if your comment was sarcastic).
