I don't think Anita Sarkeesian has a PhD or taught at Harvard. And even if she had (which she hadn't), it'd be in something retarded like women's studies. Peterson is an intellectual whether you like it or not, no-one cares about your fee fees.

Even if she isn't a PhD the general bandwagon mentality around her was the same, she was perceived as an educated authority figure who was unjustly oppressed by some vague, evil threat, whether it be "misogyny" or "postmodernism", and exploited that to make profit.

Psychology as a field isn't doing much better. Over half of all published studies can't even be reproduced. Even if we assume Peterson is one of the good ones and did legitimately solid work, that doesn't automatically make him an expert on postmodernism, much like how Anita having a Master's doesn't make her an expert on video games.

In fact I would argue Peterson is actually worse than Anita. Anita made 200k off of Kickstarter, but got a ton of shit flung at her online. She also at least cited examples, even if she was deceptive about it. Peterson cites jack shit, makes 65k a month, and gets his dick sucked constantly.

The law is the law, university policy or tenure doesn't change that, you can still lose your job. And it was always a question of not just what the law is, but of what the law will be. Anyone who understands the nature and application of the law understands just how significant any legal establishment is - - precedent supersedes both circumstance and reason 9 times out of 10. It's not just a slippy slope, it's one where it's 2 steps forward, 1 step back. That being so, it's very more important to prevent abuse than to stop it.
