For the life of me I cant find any good place to snag audiobooks. Is there some obscure website I've missed, or is AB-Bay really all there is?

I listen to pirated Great Courses. There's a great torrent out there with about 100 of them.

And then I read books pirated from libgen. Except they don't have Peter Kreeft's Summa of the Summa, so I may go ahead and buy the ebook. Lingen oddly enough doesn't have a copy of Aquinas' commentary on the Metaphysics either, which is stupid of them. They should also have scans of Norton's Anthology of American Lit and World lit. They have English lit, why not the others?

No Agenda

"Romance of the Three Kingdoms Podcast" for a chink retelling a fantastic ancient Chinese classic
"Nature" which talks about recent scientific research
"Chapo Trap House" for trashy memey pop culture reference whine-about-the-news garbage with the occasional great interview
"Sinica" for Chinese news and horrible interviews with interesting people
"Bloomberg Masters In Business" for interviews and financial stuff I'll never understand
"Indie Hackers" and "YCombinator" for tech startup interviews
"Artsy" for a glimpse into the art world
"Dan Carlin's Hardcore History" to listen to a non-historian go into a historical topic very in-depth
"Radiolab", "This American Life", and "BBC The Documentary" for fantastic, traditional radio content aimed at 40+ year olds

Go through the invite process for "MyAnonymouse" and participate in the community. They're a creepily-nice community and as long as you promise to share and promise not to swear you'll get along with them.

Holy shit, most basic bitch, jewish establishment list one could give. Follow this if you like to bathe in ignorance.

I only listen to them while i work out after work/go to bed, but ive heard Principles of Influence by Robert Chaldidi, The Power of Self Discipline by Brian Tracy, and Sun tzu's Art of War

Ascending the Tower and Myth of the 20th Century (both of which are found at socialmatter.net).

My man.

BBC's In Our Time is what i'm listening to right now. It's really basic though.

Any sites/suggestions for getting free audiobooks? Working on a project for school which has a lot of mindless work, would like to be able to listen to books while I work on phylogeny.

I only really listen to football podcasts

>bugman: the list

Anyone learning German with podcasts? Any good ones?

Revolutions Podcast. It's a simplistic and somewhat un-exciting (very anglo) retelling of various historical periods, but it's really detailed and the author has a great voice.

Guardian Football Weekly from time to time

that's about it

What are your thoughts on the football weekly "schism"?

Depends what topics you like. All the popular ones are good. Alternativlos, Hintergrund, Chaosradio, Soziopod, Forschergeist, Methodisch Inkorrekt. Public radio casts are also very good, especially SWR and BR ones.

It's really difficult. Jimbo is obviously the better host, but Football Weekly has many of the interesting guests like Honigstein, Bandini etc.

Jimbo's new show is probably better

>All the popular ones are good

This is never true

The funny thing is, the Dilbert guy is a tried-and-true cuck. His first wife had two kids sired by another man (men?), which he raised. His "hot instagram model" gf also has a kid by another man, which he helps take care of. I think they even live in his house.

Funny how /pol/ loves accusing others as cucks, but one of their celebretard heroes is quite literally a cuck.

Yeah I like Jimbo more than Max for sure but I just couldn't get into the TFS.

That's one of the things that dissapoints me about Scott. In his book he mentions his wife alot and it seems like she was a big part of his life. Now he's divorced and it all seems like a waste of time. He's written some articles about being single and he mentioned that he lives near his step-kids so he can still maintain contact but what would you even call the relationship you would have with a divorced stepfather? The dating an instagram model just seems like the last gasp of an old man who wants to die when he's 75.

RedLetterMedia and Wes Cecil.

wut? laborers need food like everyone else and unless they want their shit kicked in by "laborers" who labor in war, they will keep working. I never understand how these people can be so selective and can't see how their outlook can be turned against them

I honestly don't know, but they seem like they would be sympathetic to socialists. Personally I don't get the impression that their personal politics get in the way of the storytelling.

Zero Books and cum town lmao

What I've learned from this thread: shallow idiots huffing the last of post-Christian liberalism's degenerate dying breaths listen to a show called "cum town."

Chapo is good as hell when they're not just making small talk with random twitter users

Free yourself from the shackles of an oppressive reality

Listened to both of these on youtube. I'm not really into politics and I don't agree with him on much, but Bowden is so widely knowledgeable and enthralling to listen to. What a great mind and what a loss.

>listens to rome and byzantium
>doesnt get filled with rage at his core listening to ottoman history

dude simpsons lmao

I really don't understand why they even have an interview system. You would have to be a complete retard to fail it, that's if you can even fail it.

It's an apolitical comedy podcast, you fucking spazz.

In one of the LA episodes Nick says he subscribes to Lapham's Quarterly.
He portrays himself as less cultured than he actually is.

cumtown seconded. anyone have a link to listen to bully town free? i wanna hear adam drop some slurs

the only chapo i liked is when they interviewed the dude that fought in syria

Because most positivists are too stupid to make obvious connections between art/literature and the history of the world, and they want to pretend they understand aesthetics.

Manly P Hall

has a very large archive of audio lectures he gave over the course of his life. Most are available on youtube, and there is a torrent with everything on piratebay.

There any good Folklore podcasts?

Good shit. Thank you for these.

Then don't open your mouth, retard

The Central Asianist is pretty good. Focuses on regional politics, customs, economics etc. and ha reasonably interesting guests.
Can anyone recommend anything similar for other regions, specifically Latin America, Africa and East Asia?

>CumeTowne

My man...

I used to listen to 99% pretty regularly. There are some great episodes, there are some terrible episodes. Some of this is down to opinion. There's an episode about some landmark in LA. It's episode 40 or so. Check that one out.

>Now he's divorced and it all seems like a waste of time.
That's an absurd way to look at relationships, and life in general. Nothing is a waste of time.

But yes, he is a literal cuck and his ex-wife is still his personal assistant, which indicates the inability to move on. There is nothing wrong with taking care of another man's children if you love the woman and have no issue with doing so. It's not for me, but if I fell in love with a woman who had kids, I'd probably deal with it. It's just funny that /pol/ eats his shit up and ignore the fact that he is quite literally a cuck.

I'm neither right nor left wing, but regardless of politics, it's sort of sad seeing the Dilbert guy and James Woods essentially being tolling old men. It's just so undignified to act that way; it's nothing to do with their opinions or views, it's just the way they go about vocalizing them.
