From a cognitive perspective, nihilism makes no sense

explain

explantation kills the meaningue

there's no meaning in your original post. it's a strange claim with no support

you are the anal nazi stufford.

Burden of proof is on you
His axiom is consensus

Once you reach heaven or hell, can you be anything but a nihilist from that point on?

>Nietzsche was a nihilist

>burden of proof
>axiom
>consensus

Yeah he was.

I was being purposively provocative and hoped to offend some Veeky Forumsfriends. I think nihilism is useful as a word but doesn't make sense due to what cognitive research suggests.

>people still arguing over misunderstandings in the language game

The Nietzschean was a nihilist

lol i was here twise

explain that. What cognitive research is suggestive that nihilism doesn't make sense?

>i measured voltage in organic tissue therefore i have gained full knowledge of the subjective inner workings

Some things are more than their sum

Is there something I should absolutely read before getting into Thus Spoke Zarahustra?

Yeah I avoided that question (answer) because it comes from several and I would have to make a few references. Might do it later.
I might have a plato.edu article that talks about this and might post that one first.

maybe you could give a brief summary that explains it? Sounds like you're talking out of your ass.

I know those types (reductionists) and that's not me

this post makes no sense
you can't just drop specific terms like that and hope it makes you seem smart

He's only a nihilist to Christians.

No, I'm reading and that takes some time to do. Here's the first reading material for you:

i think its legitimately possible to be a nihilist if you're a vegetable

How much voltage does your egg plant emit?

>there may even be puritanical fanatics of conscience, who prefer to put their last trust in a sure nothing, rather than in an uncertain something. But that is Nihilism, and the sign of a despairing, mortally wearied soul, notwithstanding the courageous bearing such a virtue may display.

>make inane claim about cognitive science
>get called out on your inanity
>refuse to give any explanation
>get pressed further
>le but I'm le busy just le read about this random le philosophical topic
>no mention of cognitive science

please die

WHY?! WHY MUST YOU TORMENT ME SO WITH THESE NIETZSCHE THREADS? All I want to do is come here for an Analytic experience that will exercise my brain but I am constantly numbed by these odious threads with their basic understanding of philosophy and try-hard self-help miasma. Can I never complete a system of proofs, will I ever know the touch of a woman and enter between her loins? Will my seed ever drip from Quine?

Everyone dies user, have some patience. The philosophy article does mention cognitive science, or rather psychology. I use those interchangeably, perhaps that's confusing.

Correct.

If you want the full experience of Nietzsche, you need to read him in chronological writing order, no exceptions. If you jump straight to Zarathustra, at least don't skip the translator's introduction, or any footnotes. Expect to read a work that is pure allegory and which will require a good eye to interpret allegory and several readings.
