Semicolons in dialogue

>semicolons in dialogue

You don't use them?

>he uses punctuation

>dialogue in semicolons

Wow, let's jumble words, so random! lol!

but people speaking aloud say independent clauses without coming to a full stop all the time.

>he uses periods when writing dialogues
>he actually, literally, seriously, unironically makes his characters say "period" out loud at the end of each sentance
#true

Why do some people think it's wrong to use semicolons in dialogue? They're just used to separate two independent clauses, right?

>having dialogue

>semicolons

>being this mad that you can't learn grammar conventions well enough to twist them for a new outcome
shig

>defending rules that limit prosaic expression for no reason whatsoever
You won't find retards like this outside of English literature

If writing well while avoiding arbitrarily decided no-gos is so impressive to you then why don't you go ahead and avoid the letter e in all your writing from now on

>why don't you go ahead and avoid the letter e in all your writing from now on
That's a real thing. It's called oulipo or constrained writing

I like this kind of sarcasm that states everything that's happening. It's now in every thread, followed by a "lol" "xD". It's really innovative. At least rearranging the words is kind of lit related and sometimes can be witty.

i cant imagine not using semicolons in dialogue.. are you retarded op? every sentence you use is a new distinct thought completely separate from the previous ones?

>Nov 16 2016
I'm on to you... again

>words

Fuck off Dewey, your mother doesn't love you!!

>honey, I'm late for my period
There.

>words in general
