What kind of a man watches cartoons for kids?

Are there any books on man-children?

The kind of man that desires the ultimate escape from reality. A man so seasoned and disappointed with existence that they revert to cartoons as a way out of the misery handed to them by an industrialized, in humane world. Not necessarily a failure, but a man of high intelligence dissatisfied with a world that has acted as a destructor to their will-to-power.

That is one portrait of a cartoon watching man.

the tin drum

Oh look, another thread made by an insecure pseud trying to shame people for doing anything but drinking liquor and reading philosophy.

o-ok

One time I sent a Touhou video to my 78 year old journalism teacher, and some girl walked behind him while he was watching and she let out a blood-curdling scream like reality just fell apart.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!?"

Like he was staring at CP or some fucked shit while he was working.

All he did was say "Nothing really", and he clicked it off like it was the worst type of porn.

I think that for people that watch cartoons as adults there's a desire among other people for reality to make sense that they love to grate against, and there's nothing that feels better than violating social norms that've only served to hurt them and enjoying 2D animation.

It's something silly and tendy in a world that is anything but.

A Confederacy of Dunces

lol why'd you send your professor a touhou vid?

>"nothing really"

I was in High-school, and I had nothing better to do, and I knew he would watch random videos so I picked an innocuous one and did it anonymously.

I never thought anyone would trip so hard over something so silly.

>Touhou video
why

It was this one, so it wasn't even that bad

All my friends who are generally smart people don't give a fuck that I watch or have watched anime at some point.
Also this isn't literature related.

anime is NOT children's entertainment

Any cartoon escapist is reverting himself in the wrong kind of escapism. He is escaping in a world that is meant to appeal as simple entertainment to children and grownmen who choose to waste the rest of their lives watching something to appease the conscious. He is commiting to something that will never be fufilling, but rather draining him to become a sheeple of the populous, a hypnotized man walking in the path of blatant consumerism. A foolish man.

Rather the man should be fufilling something that makes him the opposite of a sheeple. Perhaps reading literature or learning about something particular. This man is not a slave to escapism and consumerism. It would be evsn better if he would become some sort of enlightened indivdual and abandon society as a whole to pursue and delve into his hobbies.

How can you scream at suwako?

effeminate gays

I know because I'm that person

This. This is the most Veeky Forums example

How effeminate

>men
>watching cartoons

Pick one. These are people that have normalized being a pathetic aimless faggot to themselves for so long that they can only consume their values and have no core to draw from. Unless a Myrna Minkoff is coming to pick you up and save you from yourself, unironically kill yourself immediately.

There's probable significant overlap between a man that engages in his hobbies and a man that enjoys cartoons.

There are draw-fags and writers in /TLHG/, or The Loud House general.

The perfect, non-consumerist man is hard-pressed to exist as he lives in a technological society that is grueling toward the human spirit. Within the simplicity of a child's cartoon is a simple, clean world void of pain.

If you must leave reality, why not do it in the greatest way possible?

>Men don't watch cartoons

A real man drinks alcohol and watches football

No, football is gay

Most of the best anime is juvenile.

>I think that for people that watch cartoons as adults there's a desire among other people for reality to make sense that they love to grate against
I honestly can't figure out what you're trying to say here

A man does whatever he wants. Masculinity is a spook.

Good video.
