I personally like to think it is Marlowe due to a lot of the similar themes and and a similar writing style (if you haven't already, read Doctor Faustus) and a lot of the shady things that happen and have been theorized about Marlowes life.In the end of the day it is like that of Homer, doesn't really matter if he did or not but its fun to think about.
