Post one star reviews of one of your favorite books on goodreads/amazon.

My therapist said I shouldn't post in these threads anymore

Let the day perish wherein I was born.

Critiques of the Iliad:

- genealogies/soldier lists are too long
- muh misogyny muh violence against women
- war is bad waaah

Cucks, I swear

M&M

I want to ejaculate inside Maddie’s vagina if you know what I’m sayin

Do you guys have people like this in your social circles?

This has to be satire....the only other possibility is r/atheism

The true definition of a brainlet right here.

>"I hate the idea that we need an all-powerful man in the sky to have a sense of right or wrong"

JUST

Should be easy to figure out

These people seem to be well into their 30s. This is worrying.

Fugging brainlets

Came here to post this

Nice to see so much good taste in one place

what the fuck is fear and trembling /lt/'s favorit book or something?

HOLY SHIT user IS THAT FEAR AND TRAMBLING?
Bcs my print is the same book

Let's make fear and trambling the next culture of critique

1/3

2/3

3/3

Anything by Gene Wolfe will attract the most retarded reviewers.

Are you referring to his fans or his detractors.

I find people either vastly overstate his worth or dismiss him as genre fiction

...

...

...

She's cute desu. I'd go for it

...

I'm definitely talking about his fans in this thread about 1 star reviews.

...

>prosaic patriarch disguised as an enigmatic nihilist;
clara out here w/ the big words and semicolons

She looks fat

I ended up laughing more than I was bothered by the review.

King Lear?

Obviously

you mean like in a sexual way?

what translation amigos?

This is the one I read

The book is "100 Years of Solitude."

It's the 'yawn' at the beginning of this damn review that gets me raging so hard. What a douchebag.

Every time someone says "hard to follow" I rage. 99% of the time they're dumbfucks

...

thanks

I already do this.

...

...

Hilarious up until the last sentence, like if his statement was not clear enough or if he was afraid that some moron would not understand his joke.

Exactly. The language used by Garcia Marquez isn't even that verbose, nor is the prose complex. What a moron, I'm fuming.

Jesus, how can you shut yourself off to all of those authors?

What book?

The Blind Owl, same as the post after it.

...

What book is this?

Thanks, I wasn't sure if they were for the same book or not.

>only one 1-star review
>she even acknowledges she's just too much of a brainlet to appreciate the book

lol

What book is she on about?

Seiobo There Below by Krasznahorkai

>acknowledges what a great book it is
>gives it one star anyway

Also seven people thought this was a good enough review to like, think about that, seven individuals though that this is a vaild review.

...

Oh, well that is a fair criticism in that case.

What book?

Hahahhahahaha what the fuck

>Liking Ann Coulter
I remember a friend of mine bringing a book of hers in High School. We had a laugh at the chapter literally called "Attack France" because they didn't support the war on terror.

She has to be some kind of elaborate performance artist to be so autistic.

Jesus Christ guys post the fucking book you're pulling up reviews for

Moravagine

No, most people genuinely think these things. I would say that review is honest.

>my diary desu

We all know Coulter is just another vapid opportunistic attention-whore, no need to respond to the troll.

Please respond to my troll ;_;

...

...

Outrage culture is the post-irony zeitgeist. Enjoy it.

Post good goodreads reviews, seems like a much harder task

How about we post 5-star reviews of shit books?

what's hilarious about that review is that all the women reviews on the front page are trashing the book

Hong translations (Princeton University Press) are the definitive ones for all of his books. They are amazing, and I can't recommend them enough.

Appreciate it

pretty good review, desu. de gustibus non est disputandum

>M&M
Master and Margarita? If so, there's no lack of excitement in that book.

...

I have never laughed so hard in one of these threads before, thank you.

>there are no characters that are well developed that share genitals with me therefore it's artistic merit is decreased
People fucking suck

Those commenters have passed their eternal fedora test. Kierkegaard is kinda the last chance for these nerds.

90% chance it's Schopenhauer
10% chance it's a book my any other male

:(

...

what the hell

...

This better not be a crime and punishment reviews

what BOOK?

holy shit im 1 paragraph in and this guy has already outed himself as a piece of garbage

>Camus or Kafka or Vonnegut
>absurd or deconstructionist or meta
Aren't these three pretty straightforward aside from a little sci-fi and/or magical realism?

i love that book right up until he introduces the master and margarita

it's clearly a joke review

she's right desu

Well, yeah, but it was probably posted by a fedora wielding dork who genuinely thinks that it was insightful and really epic

Cioran?
