I'm currently reading Jung, and something he said really got the noggin joggin: psychoanalysis via suggestion(such as was done after Freud) not only more often than not does not reveal new information for the analyst, but it deepens whatever issues the patient has. Thus, most patients going on a psychologist who works on suggestion are damaging themselves and making it harder for anyone else to heal them in the future. Now you take that info plus the fact that historically, and to this day honestly, most psychoanalysis patients are white.

He merely popularized a lot of concepts that were being developed for centuries prior, many by philosophers. Refer to and read Jung yourself to understand the role of these previous thinkers. Quite weird how popular Freud became in such a short span of time, considering he was a huge coke head who was said to sleep with his patients among other shenanigans. On the other hand, someone with legit cred such as Jung, who did actual research for decades, is seen as a sidefigure when compared to Sigismund Schlomo Freud(that's his real name)
