Be honest with yourself: he's smarter than you.
Be honest with yourself: he's smarter than you
myself is smarter than me?
Nope, I'm smarter on the front than on the back
so's my dog he's not special
what is some Zizekkino and Zizek/lit/
so far I've got
Hitchcock and von Trier movies
They Live
Hegel
Watch the Pervert's Guide to Cinema, and Pervert's Guid to Ideology right now.
The Nymphomaniac films were pretty awful. Veeky Forums would probably pretend to like Haneke and Kaufman films.
he is thats why i like him
when he said his country had a particular artist being the first to do something - a subsection in abstract expressionism it made me upset at him because he was incorrect, and new it at that time to boost his country's nationalism/patriotism
>pretend to
Accept that people like things you don't you dry cunt
I like some them a lot, I'm just wise to the fact this board is full of pseudo-intellectuals who read the first ten pages/watch the first ten minutes and then post relentlessly about it on Veeky Forums. Sorry if I triggered your autism there user.
Zizek is a Stalinist, why would you be surprised that he holds some parochial views?
>he fell for the stalinist meme
Zizek is baiting, user
I head once he said that some christian priests in the wild west used to do magic tricks (card tricks, stuff like that), to get people interested and then later they would do their actual serious preaching. It's exactly that. He teases with a joke or by raising something no one expects, but then again underneath he actually has something to say and it's not bad, it's quite good.
Those who think he is a clown are people who are too in love with their own idea of what an intelligent man looks like and acts like. They are not listening to the very words he is saying, because they are busy making *sniff* jokes.
>because they are busy making *sniff* jokes
proper zizek parody holds deeper meaning than what he actually says
Sounds like he baited you into thinking he was baiting 2bh
sniff jokes?

He's not smarter than me.
this is so cute
Žižek is pretty clearly a state socialist when pushed on the economic issue. And he's totally right in saying that all this libertarian anarchism and local self-management is completely hopeless for the Left and achieves fucking nothing.
I want to protect that sniffing
>zizek
>stalinist
>patriotism
>parochial

>Žižek is pretty clearly a state socialist when pushed on the economic issue
He's a Stalinist is what he is
read thread, it's not long
>intelligence tests only available in slovene
comedy was better under the communists tbph
Well yeah, I think that picture proves it
z-zizek?
depends on subject, Veeky Forums-wise, yes
>depends on the subject
This is what brainlets tell themselves
A fuckload of people is smarter than me.
Of course he is - that doesn't make him right about everything.
I read the part where he confirmed he was a Stalinist. I'm not judging him, but he is objectively a supporter of genocide
Stalin's policies presented objectively the best path for the Soviet Union, despite all of his flaws and paranoia. The successors were barely trying in comparison.
"no"
here your (you)
Ah, Zizek thread!

But I am already eating from the hot dog all the time!

are all of you educated? i.e. undergrad and up doesn't matter what field of study
like are there any autodidacts here that left formal education at 18
You realize if he wasn't such a maniacal paranoiac he would have had better successors
Yet I can breathe like a normal human being
really makes you think
>not having an alpha sniff to dominate every room you're in
Found the virgin
If I ever see him in Ljubljana I will stop him and ask him one question
>...
what should the question be, Veeky Forums?
How much?
Left formal education at 18, and from 16 and onward it was only vocational education.
being smarter than me doesn't make you smart
Christ, he's drowning them
I am in the middle of a degree at a technical school. Was doing computer science at a University but halfway through decided it wasn't for me.
Smarter or not, he can speak English, French and German quite well which already makes him superior to me and, I'm pretty sure, most here.
While I think he has his pleb moments (mostly based on some Lacanian exagerations), he's still a great philosopher with a lot of useful stuff to say.
oh my god I didn't realize the magnitude of his lisp
>when he finishes making his point in the middle of the "and so on" of 1:26 as you can tell the inflection of his voice
Lost it there
I love him. I started using more "and so on" in my speech because of them. Not consciously, I just can't stop. I try to balance it with "etc", but if anyone knows other synonyms, shoot.
>Chomsky, the virgin flower waterer
>Zizek, the chad flower tsunami dispenser
I don't think so, Tim.
