But don’t you realize? Today we are all Nietzschean!

The death of god is about the drying up of a horizon of meaning, the destruction of a whole form of human life. If you live a life feeling fragmentary, placeless, and devoid of meaning, then you are living in the Nietzschean condition. Maybe you can try dedicating yourself to nationalism, or Marxism, or scientific progress, and these will form a personal horizon of meaning, and that is the best you can do. Simply live, that is all there is.

Anyone who calls themselves a Nietzschean will never be an ubermensch

>Jus b urself

Wow, profound

Anyone who doesn't think at Nietzsche's level will never be either.

I understood what you meant by "Nietzschean", but don't make it an identity. The first thing you should consider is putting his books down for a while and stop binge-reading philosophy as a mean to get "answers", lay down and think. Creating your own frame of morality and ethics should be like the grit of composing musics and novels, like an expression of art that is more deeply entailed to the human experience than a positivistic look of behaviour.

Sorry you are disappointed, that’s all there is!

Why do people insist on pretending they've read things they clearly haven't, and posturing as some kind of authority on the thing they haven't read? Fuck...

>Nietzschee was a nihilist

The wings of one's own morality crafted in the mind of man doesn't lift him up an inch out of the pit of nihilism. Let's be real

"Not daring to define their doctrine of what is good, they use physical figures of speech without stint or shame, and, what is worst of all, seem to think these cheap analogies are exquisitely spiritual and superior to the old morality. Thus they think it intellectual to talk about things being 'high.' It is at least the reverse of intellectual; it is a mere phrase from a steeple or a weathercock. 'Tommy was a good boy' is a pure philosophical statement, worthy of Plato or Aquinas. 'Tommy lived the higher life' is a gross metaphor from a ten-foot rule."

"He was not at all bold. He never put his own meaning before himself in bald abstract words: as did Aristotle and Calvin, and even Karl Marx, the hard, fearless men of thought. Nietzsche always escaped a question by a physical metaphor, like a cheery minor poet. He said, 'beyond good and evil,' because he had not the courage to say, 'more good than good and evil,' or, 'more evil than good and evil.' Had he faced his thought without metaphors, he would have seen that it was nonsense. So, when he describes his hero, he does not dare to say, 'the purer man,' or 'the happier man,' or 'the sadder man,' for all these are ideas; and ideas are alarming. He says 'the upper man,' or 'over man,' a physical metaphor from acrobats or alpine climbers. Nietzsche is truly a very timid thinker."

When the greatest part of one's energy is spent on heaving one's monstrously bloated frame out of bed every morning, it's no surprise that there's not much left to do any thinking with.

yeah, even for the guys who go insane from getting syphilis from hookers

Chesterton BTFO'd

Wow, is that one still around?

I know it wasn't syphilis, but I was playing your game of worthless ad hominem

Anglos shouldn't be allowed to read Nietzsche to be honest
