Not sure who you're talking about but nah man. That ain't me.

I've never gauged how long it's taking me to read this but I'd wager about 25-35 pages an hour.
Words are reasonably small and the text is thick enough I want to be sure I'm not missing anything before continuing.

not OP, and not trying to say that I wasn't initially put off by the idea of posting your face on Veeky Forums, as I felt it was an attention-grabbing behavior. but in this context, can you explain why you react in such a way? are you just doing it for the culture? because I'm actually interested to see what other people on this board look like, even if I'll never put their face to another post on here again.

We statistically look like pale men aged 18-25. There.
This isn't /soc/, don't post your fucking face, and don't post datamining threads because they're pointless.

okay, maybe there's not much good reason to post your face, although I'd still be interested to see what those non-whites that browse this board look like. but do you actually think these threads are part of/could be used for some data mining project? how the hell could this information be useful?

I love datamining threads

I like HP lovecraft but his obsession for inventing fantasy names for locations is pretty cringy tbqh

it's used by people to shit up the board by posting narcissistic shite that nobody else is interested in responding to, because who cares? this right now is the closest thing these threads get to interesting conversation.

Not him but this guy: Just about to start the third part. Absolutely loving the book but Herbet's overuse of the word "presently" is getting on my nerves.

I preferred the first part, which was mostly politics and people talking to each other rather than any action but the second part, which has involves a bit more action, has been enjoyable too.

This book seems largely philosophical rather than being too indulgent with Freud's strange neurosis. The main thesis is very interesting:

> The Magic Mountain
I'm 416 pages in, so 58% of the way through. Yeah, it is repetitive and the constant abstract meanderings about Time could be seen as heavy handed or boring, but I really like the character of Hans Castorp and I enjoy the calming feeling of reading the book which takes you to a perfect regressive location where everything remains constant and the normal ties to the realities and responsibilities of the "lower world" are not present.

Nah, I am 16
