Brave New World vs 1984

Which one is more accurate? Which is the better book in general?
Im going with Brave New World, pic basically explains why

Accurate towards what? Neither are accurate towards anything, or particularly good books for that matter. If you want a so-called "accurate" look at what your stupid little comic describes, read Infinite Jest. If you want to discuss lower-tier high school lit, just come out and say it you dirty little slut.

Both are very accurate and relevant.

Lets say predictions of the future, for their tine anyway
So in other words, how accurate tgey predicted modern day society.
1984 esque elements are only now popping up in places like Britain, but we’ve been in BNW for awhile

>I like dystopian fiction because its for grownups

They both showcase ideas that ended up being true, brave new world is just a better story. 1984 is more a thematically stark adherence to the lackluster totalitarianism regime it creates.

*totalitarian

Brave New World has predicted our current hedonistic materialistic age. The Savage did nothing wrong. 1984 is good to when it comes to spread of misinformation and propaganda, but I far prefer Homage to Catalonia when it comes to Orwell.

Both suck as books, but about spreading an idea, yeah, garrulousness for some reason works better than a simple sentence, but I guess most are unable to extract the particular from the general.

Sick of the whole, "hurr sure muh prophetic dystopian," normie books argument, but to answer your question, 1984 was a more enjoyable read, and BNW is more reflective of the modern day.
>The Iron Heel never mentioned
Fucking plebs.

Brainlet books for mediocre pseuds who like to feel superior to le masses. Notice how every single one of them regurgitates the same prepackaged opinion.

Never heard of Iron Heel
I think people after being forced to read such books in school really dont want anything to do with such genre
Although I did enjoy Fahrenheit 451

Brave New World is more accurate. However, I think 1984 has better prose than Brave New World and is far more enjoyable.

Not sure he meant the books

Shit, you're right. He was talking about people who like dystopia books.

>Notice how every single one of them regurgitates the same prepackaged opinion.

You just described basically every work ever. There is something called average and something called normal distribution bro. People don't regurgitate the same opinion just because, it's the average reaction over an ensemble that is more or less always the same. That doesn't mean you could (not should, could) disregard the original source using this as argument. Alas, you probably want to vent either way.

t. pseuds

Dystop fiction is literally the most pseud genre there is
>Dude what if current problem but entire world!

>Dude it sucks because it's pseud!
All of your posts are grade school level. Come up with an actual argument.

>Sh-shut up

Compelling

I think Farenheit 451 best represented to issues that we currently have to fear in America

>modern day society
There are so many different types of societies at all times—including today—that you can't just say that one is more accurate. Let's say on a surface level 1984 is more accurate to North Korea today while Brave New World is more accurate to Western society today. Do the respective accuracies of these make either more worthwhile or powerful? Do you really think that these were written to predict the future?

Why does it have to be either or? I feel as if the modern world reflects both of these. We have certain subjects that cannot be discussed in academia without harsh criticism (here in Canada it's the Native question and to a lesser degree the Holocaust). On the other hand, people are more concerned about the Bachelor than the events in Syria.

It's not the same old tired boring retarded regurgitation of platitudes per se that irks me. It's the fact that it's accompanied by a feeling of unwarranted snobbish superiority towards le masses by retards with the intellectual development of an high-schooler who willingly choose to spend their time on a cartoon frog enthusiasts forum.
>dude... what if like we live in brave new world...
Fucking retards who think reality is reducible to fiction.

>"I don't know how to finish my commie fanfic so let's just stop writing"
amazing literature

Lifting weights is the same thing as overentertainment and hedonism how? It's hard work and diet that you put in every day to become stronger and more ready to face challenges. It's the denial of instant gratification in favour of long-term health. Comic artist lanklet confirmed.

Well... you don't know any of those people and are now sharing your time with them in the same website. So...

What do you mean by the native question? I don't really know much about the natives in leafland desu

>cartoon frog enthusiasts forum.
kek

I consider myself pretty retarded as well.

Well it really boils down to reintegration. Canada has had a past of forcing Natives to resettle or forcing them into residential schools. Residential schools were with good intention, but what they did was removed children from their culture and language and forced them to adopt English culture and language. Not inherently wrong, but when these children went back to their respective tribes they were alien to it. They were alien to both Native and English Canada. This lead to so psychological damage and alcoholism as a mechanism to cope. Fair enough (Also these residential schools were notorious for teachers/priests abusing the children both physically and sexually).

Government feels bad for them, as they should, and gives them reservations and a level of semi-autonomy. However, the land the government gives the Natives is either desolate or so far north and removed from Canadian society that these people live the same conditions as a third world country.

People are mad, because Natives are being treated like shit. So there are a few Candian scholars that argue that we should abolish the reserve system and reintegrate these people into Canadian society where they can get access to healthcare and education, you know stuff that makes people prosperous (Most notable of these people is Tom Flanagan an aide to Stephen Harper). People lose their shit about this and call it genocide.

TL;DR Scholars offer a reasonable solution to a problem and they are called genocidal.

Of course, I am no expert and this is merely my hot take on the issue.

Brave New World for the West
Nineteen Eighty-Four for the rest

1984 for the communist regimes and nations.

BNW for the capitalistic and western(ized) nations.

Huxley, Orwell was a moron and hated every government. A borderline conspiracy theorist.

t. communist

Orwell was one of the few socialists who wasn't fucking retarded.

>no argument
