How are those? I'm reading the Tale of the Heike and I'm having a great time remembering names and interpreting Royall Tyler's super awkward half-verse half-prose adaptation. Unironically a great book so far!

Rashomon is pretty essential, but that edition includes most of his short stories too (as well as the actual short story that Kurosawa based his adaptation of Rashomon on). It's pretty damn good.
