Kant said that morality exists in human minds already, so even atheists would still behave morally at about the same frequency as religious people. There's still fear in atheists, but it's more that they would cause permanent emotional damage to themselves if they did something awful. That's the theory, anyway

I'm still a product of my culture. mostly I'm depressed, but when I wasn't, I wanted to participate in school or social activities, so nihilism didn't fit with that. the theist concept that all morality comes from god is just not true.
