Marc took his good bits from William Godwin. Godwin's anarchist Utopia was to be achieved when people became moral enough to not need government. This was to be a non revolutionary gradual process. Marx thought that the better way to improve people was to tramatize them and encourage them to commit unspeakable acts during a revolution that would eliminate the societal stuctures that actually protected people's rights (not very well but it was a start). Revolution is like a reset button for human rights. It resets them to zero. This doesn't mean that all governments which require some form of sharing are wrong but rather that they will only function when taking care of each other is a societal norm.

From my understanding socialism and communism both work on the concept "you owe me something because you have more than me" & while I think some applications of socialism wouldn't be bad like free colleges. I think that the only economic system that works is capitalism.
