Unironically vs sincerely

Please explain to me what the word unironically has to come to mean and why we favor it and use it so much more frequently than the word sincerely. I feel that there is something I'm not understanding here and it puts me ill at ease.

Stop being autistic clearly unironically means being sincere in a place where you might expect someone to be ironic from the get-go.

It's a less gay way of saying sincerely. 'Sincerely' sounds like reddit.

when she goes she's gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon

On Veeky Forums, for a while now irony has been the main form of discourse. A few years ago people started using the term "unironically" so people would understand they really meant it. However now you can see people using the term ironically, completing the full loop.
Now you can't trust anybody to be truthful in what they're saying.

I'm going to start ending letters with unironically

lmaooooooooooooooo

>dont mistake this for some sort of vaporwave in written form okay?

Go on...

but irony isn't expected in letters adressed to a single person, sarcasm is.

unsarcastically yours,
user

Unironically means whatever quirky personality the addresser has, all from that point and upwards is to be taken at face value. Its quite a statement.

Do you know where the culture shifted? Because I do.

Go on...

sarcasm is a species of irony

Enlighten us.

We need a bit of history here.
Late 2012, the ironic end of the world. Prior to this point, the hacker known as 4chin knew only how to pile layer upon layer of irony. It seemed to work. Whenever an ounce of sincerity was seen, it was a sign of innocence, weakness or fragmentation. This was always abused to the full extent - for the lulz. However, this wasn't a very healthy environment for psyche, and many had begun to desire the end of the world and themselves.
Yet ironically, the world didn't end despite the "ironic" desires, and it seemed that people weren't too affected by it either. Not enough suicide cults and such to justify the continued laughter.

By 2013 Veeky Forums /pol/ was starting to gain traction. Atheism had pulled itself to the spotlights on most platforms. They were conquering the Internet. The movement found Veeky Forums and started spreading itself publicly on the most popular boards, /b/, /v/ and /pol/.
>Cruel, intelligent, ironic, humorous, autistic and mocking
A match made in heaven, it seemed.
They were wrong. Veeky Forums didn't care for their dreams or utopias; world without religion. Knew that such nonsense would not be reached. The invention of the fedora.jpg, katana and banana memes subjected the atheist identity to what it dreaded the most; shame and self awareness.
The ironic population of Veeky Forums had begun adopting heavy flavors of antisemitism - or rather, anti judaism. This caused the beginning of a counter culture; the idealization of marriage, family, home, liberty, justice. Nobody wanted to be seen - in comparison to the jew - as anything other than the polar opposite. Coupled with older, 'Christian board' memes and the prevalence of Christian upbringing, this gave rise to religious identity, most notably on /pol/. /b/ was used crudely as pawns of any and all /pol/ campaigns of Internet terror. These of course attracted outsiders, especially people from Reddit, journalists and the like. More victims to the fedora.png; this time, without any touch with real irony.
The /Christian general/s quickly became a battleground. Serious and ironic alike, on either side. These threads gave rise to a new and original thought; layers upon layers of sincerity, with indifference or respect for irony. Just like the piling of irony, it worked. The Christian identity, the surge of postmodernism (loss of respectable cultural reference point), psychedelic drugs, "the redpill" - consciousness of the sheer magnitude of brainwashing, the fetishization of German national socialism, European history... These brought interest to a vast array of concepts and fields of knowledge. Philosophy, theology, fringe ideas gained traction.
2014 came, with it, the happening known as Shekel Shoah, or #Gamergate, had attracted the attention of many unwanted sources. These were of course, the social engineers, all the way up to UN (look it up), journalists, Reddit scum. Moot had to go, couldn't take the rising pressure. Though he did take out /pol/. cont

This but unironically

2/2
These movements; excessive irony, excessive sincerity, genocidal and self-loathing desires, fringe beliefs. These all gave birth to children. Movements, memes, the destruction of old fads - like atheism.

The birth of magic.
It was noticed that the world was changing. In more ways than merely our way to think about it. We made a joke - it landed itself in the real world somehow. Bane, Ebola-chan, Trump, the Jews... We created them. Feels vs. Pepe, the eternal conflict; yin and Yang. Israel vs. Judah. The Mandela effect; Hitler's eye color, holocaust evidence - it all changed. Our beliefs, our posts - they changed the world. It was madness.
Kek. Fanatically ironic or fanatically serious. A god took over the Internet, wearing frog skin. We had affected history. The way led to Egypt and ancient knowledge. The frog man, the chaos man, Jordan Peterson suddenly popped into existence.

Among this chaos, an innocent creation was born. A being that was unable to shape the world, merely watch. Like the old Newtonian ideal, but free. No responsibility, no new sins, just freedom and beauty. Gondola. The icon of silent sincerity.

(hehheh)
I'd like to add that the only reason people don't take meme magic seriously, is unironically because of the traditional western framework on their mindset.

It's language approved by moot

the christposters were the fucking worst, no better than the JBP posters of today, their sincerity is bullshit, past irony there's no sincerity as such, only ironic sincerity or maybe sincere irony (ironic irony already having been formulated by Fr. Schlegel in the 19th century). Hegel 101 also teaches that a thesis and its antithesis are not simply resolved, an indigestible morsel of irony would remain.
Bandanna meme man might have called for sincerity in his TV essay, but he realised it was a spook and fucking killed himself. From the holy gospel: 'Man, your head is haunted, you have wheels in your head!'

>The Mandela effect
Oh FFS!

Le shitpost derpina

What about post irony? Can someone unironically explain that to me

That's when you receive irony in the mail, in other words (dare I say it) when you are the recipient of posted irony, in order the heighten the ironic effect of whatever is said in the letter.

It's like someone saying "not untruthfully" instead of simply truthfully.

Read some Jane Austen

Most people use "post irony" to mean a state where ironic and unironic have become inseparably muddled. For example, you have no idea if this reply is genuine or not, and in a lot of ways it doesn't matter.

>the christposters were the fucking worst
Tell me, where did they make you put the banana?

You're dumb and a newfag
There's nothing else to say fag

OP are you a jap, kr or smth? Anyways ur ingrish is unironically GOAT

>amazing_atheist_banana.mpeg
i member.

"this but unironically" is a Something Awful meme which basically means that it's completely verboten and taboo on Veeky Forums. The fact that so many people use it just goes to show how much newfag we have, or even worse SA crossposters

>Hegel 101 also teaches that a thesis and its antithesis are not simply resolved, an indigestible morsel of irony would remain.
The implosion of /pol/ in 2014 and the subsequent replacement of its userbase made sure that every natio- website got its fair share of the full spectrum of irony and sincerity.

>be Stirner
>steal the Biblical criticism of Idols
>literally OT shit that's thoroughly immanent in culture
>but apply it to christianity too because you're a huge faggot
>don't apply it to the self too because you're an even bigger faggot
>people living on your time notice and call you a faggot
>Marx notices and calls you a faggot
>philosophy from thereon ignores you
>autists in the twenty first century find you
>they, also running in the structurally christian atheism they live by, love your cancer
Depressing shit, I'd shoot myself.

Sarcasm is quite sincere

You say what you mean but portray it as ironic

Is it really a SA meme? I don't remember "this but unironically" being posted more than 3-4 years and I always thought SA died years before that

Something Awful still exists Jesus Christ, mind blown

SA was doing it a long time before that.
