What is the worst legitimate publication in existence today?

I had an old college roommate who went on to publish with that rag. He was a cool guy as a person and great to room with, however he's now a more-or-less sincere Marxist scholar.

Wall Street Journal has really gone down hill after Murdoch put more pressure on the editorial board to conform to Fox News level talking points.

Both the Times and the Post get way too clickbaity these days but still do have some solidly sourced original reporting still.

Jacobin is plainly not great with spotty sourcing and an overall agenda that just plainly sucks. If you want to actually see how bad it is, listen to the interview Bhaskar Sunkara gives to Ezra Klein at Vox. Sunkara starts talking about how he thinks a classless society is possible. Even Ezra comes off better than him in it.

Basically the authority of any conservative publication is dead because they all end up getting dragged into the defend Trump spin bubble which is just a god awful place to be if you want to factually report the news.

It's gotten much worse recently, with hot opinions being paraded as facts, and innumerable articles that can be summed up with the phrase "current problem wouldn't be a problem under full communism"

Also constant blatant historical revisionism with arguments that don't hold up to even a small amount of fact checking

The guardian opinion section is legitimately awful (and usually badly written), but their arts and culture stuff is top notch
