I don't have one favourite, I use several: NRSV, NABRE, ESV, NASB, New JPS Tanakh, and sometimes check the KJV or RSV.

what's the point of this thread?

I know, but I enjoy it for literary concerns. Otherwise I go to a Russian or Romanian source.

Polytheist
French
Bible de Jerusalem

Literally the only time they've ever been violent is during the Munster rebellion and the immediate times following, and even back then nearly every major Anabaptist leader completely disavowed it and called them false followers of the core teachings. It's like saying Jews are polytheistic because some extremist fringe weirdos adopted Paganism and just worked their own god into the pantheon. Nowadays you'd be hard pressed to find an Anabaptist who would even practice self defense.

Roman Catholic

NABRE

Why would you say that it isnt?

I am legitimately curious.

Theis denotes belief.
Gnosis denotes knowledge of said belief.
the prefix a- denotes 'without' or 'not'.

Everyone is an (a)gnostic (a)theist. Delete the prefix as appropriate.

When most people call themselves agnostic they means they're "not sure if they believe in a deity/deities. This simply means they don't have a positive belief and are therefore agnostic atheists.

New Atheists keep trying to push this stupid view but it's plain false. I don't know how many hairs are on the President's head, that doesn't mean I disbelieve that there are exactly 10,000 hairs, I simply don't know due to lack of information.

That's actually why I'm non-denominational. Just being a generic Christian generally helps prevent the schisms from becoming a problem, though there are some people who look down on you even more for not pledging allegiance to any specific denomination, so it's kind of heads or tails. I also line up best theologically with Anabaptists these days which is why I mentioned that.

>Catholic

That just puts in schism with every sect.

Nah man. You're true neutral so you get welcomed everywhere. Most Christians are pretty bro-tier about dealing with the competition as long as you don't label yourself.
