Bet your fedora was made in America and you never read any of those books

There's already a stack thread going on you dunce.

is this bait?

>le voyeuristic consumerism post

Updooted

It doesn't get more reddit than this. Maybe you could complement it with a Lauren Southern book.

dayuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm!
Nigga he said it.
DAYUUUM

the fourth turning should be 10 pages long. just read the wiki and you literally wont miss a thing

Same with Maps, Same with Kant. Why read when you can fucking wiki everything. It's literally what houellebecq does

I haven't read maps of meaning but I assume it is a knockoff of Myths to Live By by Campbell and Man and His Symbols by Jung, both of which are worth reading in their entirety.

R8 me lads

Old book in the middle is literally my diary. Saw a book at a thrift store that said "the bibliography of rudyard Kipling" and was entirely empty so I just wrote in it.

Probably going to hold off on starting the man without quakities for a while, I happened to see it and it has been on my list for a while.
I am really on a bjg nonfiction kick lately though and my college town's used bookstore is great for finding interesting stuff.

>All Quiet On The Western Front

Decent read

That edition of War and Peace looks pretty cool. What translation does it have?

Maude, aka best
thunderbaybooks.com/product/War-and-Peace,245.aspx

MoM is far more comprehensive than M&HS. It builds off Origins and History of Consciousness (Neumann) imo but, again, it a somewhat larger scale.

Nothing wrong with B&N pleathers, but I agree with your assessment, OP has never read those books.

>cheap watercolour set
not even a book

Okay, Veeky Forums. Do your worst.

I tried that shit once. I suck at it.

this is a WACK STACKz thread. couldnt you tell?

Uh, I hope this counts. I believe it qualifies because I fell for all of the memes and clearly enjoyed them.

But the real reason I’m posting is that I was wondering if someone here in my private army would mind compiling these into one high def long vertical picture.

I hate having to scroll through different photos when I’m ‘going at it’ because I am only competently dextrous with my right hand and, you know

And beyond that, I think this series tells a story of priceless humor

Like, clearly I haven’t read all of these. What the fuck could the diagnosis be?

Maybe some sort of bipolar. That would definitely be the first guess, some sort of compulsive compensatory purchasing sprees

Or maybe, if I’m lucky, it’s just some existential boredom that drives me to keep grasping for some sort of value in this world

Well this thread got sad

But really what we should be focusing on is how to get this fucker banned for good. Now that I look at more of the books that he posts, I’m realizing that this is the same fuck that posts the same god damned annoying posts about Jung and alchemy all the fucking time

>Nothing wrong with B&N pleathers
The only thing wrong with them that isn't inherent in the book itself, is when some faggot has a shelf filled with nothing BUT them.

Srsly, please make a long vertical photo of these. Have a heart. Take pity. Or take a jab. Just attention really. All I need. Any type of attention

Attached: 71EE0CA7-B294-4BBC-A5BB-ACE528A9796A.jpg (3264x2448, 2.21M)

Very nice, I hope to have a library like this eventually.
But why did you not take the pictures while they were on the shelves?

thats probably why he bought them

OP, what did Maps of Meaning cost you?

10 for Jim Goad

Because it is a wack stacks thread, so I stacked them. And I genuinely was searching for a saint to throw them together on a photo editor because I honestly don’t have a computer by which I would be able to do so, and it would look like one huge stack if the pictures were sown together vertically as they are stacked in these pictures, so that was sort of the purpose of posting.

bottom third row.
whats the white Library of America one?

Willa Cather novels and stories. Exceeded expectations. She’s brilliant

its for your most recent purchases you fucking waterhead you don't take every book you own and make a tower out of them

I understood the point of the thread, but there is another stack thread at the moment, and this is sort of the bastard, neglected, unwanted stack thread, so I thought it’d be better to post them here to see if someone wouldn’t mind compiling them, but I also think that it is pathetic enough, on the whole, to qualify for the ‘wack stacks’ thread. If you disagree, I’m sorry to have wasted your screen space. I’ll try to be a more responsible poster next time.

A fortress would be much more stable, defensible, and most importantly, aesthetic.

Wow, you got Arreola's Confabulario, never thought about seeing that book in a thread.

Should Instart buying paperback or hardback?

Attached: Screenshot_20180314-021359.png (1080x1920, 298K)

Hardback for the really nice books and when it's cheap.
Like The Hobbit, would be good to have hardback.
A Canticle for Leibowitz, amusing though it would be, isn't such a priority.

>Willa Cather
thanks.

also, good amount of of bellow . 10 points for that.

No worries user, I got you.

sorry, had to downsize the image to post. Here's a better quality version: imgur.com/qTFigbb

never mind, that one is shit quality also...

Hahaha, man, thank you so much. Have a wonderful day

You need an editor.

Akshully, I really thought I would not have any past acquaintances that are so deficient with regard to social skills that they would need to seek community here. I really want to know who you are. Do you have initials? Are you a Keller? A seminarian? An argentine? An Aussie? An Ashvillian? A Charlottean? An Atlantaean? A Nashvillian? New Jerseyite? A literarian? A Tiger? Or don’t say. No problem either way.

Purchased these yesterday so I have no opinion on them yet.

What is bad about Runciman? I just looking for books on the subject and assumed it would be pretty comprehensive? Who would make a good alternative?

Eh. I don't want to read my Shakespeare out of an 1,400-page tome.

just another english "historian" who hates God
you're gonna have to dig hard at used bookstores to find good material on the crusades

I like your collection user. We've spoken in some shelf threads and I'm pretty sure you turned me on to the theological dictionary. You're a good egg. Resolution is too large for Veeky Forums: imgur.com/miYobmL
