The Great Debate
Michael Green
Andrew Johnson
Leonard Cohen didn't use his fame to get a twice convicted murderer released from jail.
Parker Walker
What does that have to do with their literary talent?
David Adams
Also, there was no proof that Carter commited the murder.
Austin Morris
Cohen all the way.
Thomas Carter

Cohen's lyrical highs were slightly greater, but Dylan takes it overall.
Even Scott Walker I'd debate is at Cohen's level, but neither really arrived at the stratospheric level that Dylan rose to.
Henry Howard
There was tons of proof he committed the murder. They even found the same ammo in his car. He got two trials, one only done to be as in his favor as possible, and both times he was proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He was never cleared by any court, instead being released because even the second case was assumed to be racist and even mentioning Dylan. Rueben Carter also had a massive history with violent assaults, guns and murder threats throughout his whole life even outside of the triple homicide he was proven guilty of. Go back and actually look at the case, not the response to it by media hounds well after, the real case.
Cohen wrote for music and art, Bob wrote for brainless politicizing.
Isaiah Moore
He already spent 20 years in prison (5 longer than Varg) and after his release until his death proved to be reformed.
