That top shelf is sagging quite badly. You need to brace it on the bottom.

Or I could just flip the shelf over. These are cheap Walmart bookcases.

>Seinfeld scripts
I like Seinfeld too, but why would you want the scripts?

Walmart bookcase shelves are usually only finished on one side. Anyways, flipping it over is a short term solution; eventually the shelf will just give out and break. You can shore it up now by just screwing a solid piece of wood (like a 1x2) to the bottom of the shelf.

A few friends and I try to write short films and comedy skits, got this to help maybe understand where to fire a joke. Plus, I like to read it on the toilet.

Its ok you can get alot of the same stuff online

Why are your books randomly placed around?

They arnt they go
>classics
>religion
>philosophy
>magic
>everything else

>one shelf of fiction, all memes or dune-related

Go back to /pol/, faggot.

Then why do you have philosophy at the bottom while evola is second from the top?

>Philosophy

Posting shelves is gey. Go digital

Well for one evola philosophy and if its on the bottom I ran out of room. Both the classics and philosophy shelf are 2 deep already.

user, I...

What do you think of House of Leaves? I keep picking other books to read instead

Its really good but it is not anything like a typical novel its like 3 diffrent diarys with footnotes and random documents and letters. So if you like reading old crime files or the scp foundation website its for you. Also get the full color paperback.

(It was joke/strategy. I average three hater (you)’s any time I post a stack or shelf so I figured that if I write that posting shelves is gay, then it wouldn’t be contradictory for someone to agree with this opinion, and there is no way in fuck that one of these haters would post agreeing with me so they would just sit this one out. I’m still working on it but it’s coming together)

Pretty nice collection. How much have you read so far?

Fuck digital. You can’t find 10% of my shelf in digital format

Thanks, I have the full color paperback, I actually picked it up years back when I was into reading scp and all that but never got around to reading it.

Nice stacks. Check out my dog and his literary endeavors.

What's the really thick one in the corner

Euclid's Elements

I just moved in with my parents after some shit went down in their lives. Somehow I was able to salvage a lot of my books.

These look like it's the same person. This is probably a "section," but I think it's very cool that your section on Classics is so well shaped out. I have found that if you don't specialize or at least take time to really dig deep, you end up just getting different flavors of the same bits of life wisdom.

Most impressed by Seinfeld book. I didn't know such a publication existed and will surely come to seek it out.

Is the Adorno book on Aeshthetics at all legible? I have to pick what I read carefully, but I've been meaning to read more writers from the frankfurt school after I read that one Walter Benjamin essay.

>satoshi kon's opus

ooooh is it good?

slightly tainted by the fact that you browse Veeky Forums

It's Kon, so the art is good, the paneling and the transitions keep the reading fluid and visceral, the characters have at least implied depth, and the themes and world have that uniquely Kon imaginitive streak. If you decide to read it, keep in mind that all the ideas were fresh at the time. This precedes Adaptation and, of course, everything else by Kon. But yeah, it's pretty great; that we never got to see where it could have gone will be one of the many tragedies of his death.

Adorno was okay? I mean I don’t entirely agree with him, so I’m not sure I took much away from it. But it was definitely readable.

have to post 2103123 pictures so the titles are barely readable due to potato camera

(You)

This was my first bookshelf thread, and I'm really disappointed to find out its just a bunch of people taking pictures of the books they own and proceding to ignore each other.

Sorry to disappoint you.

It seems my post was deleted for some reason even though there are several other examples of that.

But oh well I guess.

i refuse to believe some idiot actually bought this shit

I own about 2/3rds of those. I regret buying half of them. And I suspect I'll buy more in the future.

You fucked up with the Wordsworths user, they have shitty covers and small font. I have 6 of them, kill me.

Well uh... at least they look pretty?

yikes

How fucked is the tiny text in that Charles dickens collection? Why haven’t these niggers learned yet that tiny text is uncomfortable to read.

Where do you think you are?

Why are there so many Magicians on /lit?
