To Have and Have Not is dreadful.

All Hemingway's books are his worst books. He's fucking trash.

Was the MC of A Farewell to Arms a coward for leaving his post?

did you even read the book?

I'd say whichever one is the longest is bound to be his worst book.

I enjoyed it, but youre right.

Hemingway is comfy.
Movable feast = top tier comfy
The Old Man and the Sea
The Sun Also Rises = my fav
A Farewell to Arms

All worthwhile reads.

That wife of his is fucking garbage, the rest of the book was interesting from a microhistorical standpoint.

I liked it more than The Sun Also Rises.

>A Farewell to Arms
>protagonist gets a leg wound, his arms are fine
what did he mean by this?

A farewell to the loving arms of the love of his life.

dubs of truth

Agreed. It was his worst work, most of his other stuff was solid (especially Farewell to Arms). My favorite is probably For Whom the Bell Tolls.

guns

Look into his eyes
What do you see?

A Clean Well Lighted Place is his best work.

Someone post the Wordsworth Whatevers cover of it

i'll second that

cult of personality

a fragile man

I thought it was pretty good
I thought it was ok

That fucking part about his knee still haunts me

Same here. It wrestled with better themes imo

Agreed by far.

I loved it. In which way is it his worst novel ? please explain

not any of those three, but the writing was concise as ever without any of the punch, making it awkward and unenjoyable
