It really does matter. The rake is high enough to cause a lot of break even players to be losing players, and a lot of marginally winning players to be break even players.
Though, if you can't beat the rake, then it's not a game for you to play.
Try playing live, where you can face your opponent stacking you. See how much of a sperg you really are.
